Wife was sleeved yesterday

Hi All,

Just wanted to provide an update.

My wife was sleeved yesterday and she is in a lot of pain.

We were not mentally prepared for how much pain she would be in.

She has had two C sections, gall bladder removed, appendix removed and hiatal hernia repair and handled those like a champ.

After sleeve surgery she is miserable.

She is having buyers remorse.

I am scared as my surgery is in August.

You will find almost everyone has buyers remorse after surgery. Mine didn't come until a month out, but it passes and things get better. I promise both of you it does get better!

  • Oh no. This makes me so sad to read. I hope it passes quickly. Been thinking of you guys and knew hers was getting close. I know you're scared but the pain is a small price to pay for a healthy and

About the same.
She can only drink water, everything else tastes gross to her and makes her nauseous. She has had no protein.
I don't know what to do as she is supposed to be on clear liquids for a week.

I wouldn't worry too much. Have her focus first on the water of that's what she can tolerate. I couldn't add the protein shakes until after the 2nd week. It'll come in time but she doesn't want to get dehydrated or constipated.

My wife is having horrible diarrhea.
She is afraid she is getting dehydrated.
Is this normal after sleeve?
Did anyone else experience diarrhea?

I am 4 weeks today. I initially had horrible constipation probably r/t the pain med. Since then I have had watery diarrhea about every 2-3 days. It's just in the morning someone's a few times. I don't feel like its been enough to dehydrate me though. If she feels like she can't get enough fluid in to replace it she should call the dr they may need to give her an IV.
