I just had surgery a week ago. The one thing I am looking forward to is to fit in chairs more comfortably. A recent surprise was being able to fit in one of my chairs in the living room, which I have not been able to do for months! I sat on it and voila! Nothing got squished, no pains, nothing. I have lost about 35lbs since I started this whole process so that was a very nice surprise for me.

I guess non weight related goal is to be able to get out of the yoga pants and oversized t-shirts that I have worn in the last three years. I want to feel pretty again, I want to like what I see in the mirror.

The one thing I am looking forward the most though is being able to walk around wothout pain in my feet!

- What (physical and/ or non-physical) changes are you mostly looking forward to? Crazy, but I wanted to see what I look like underneath all the weight. I wanted to feel capable.

- What are your non-weight (#) related goals? I'm not sure if I understand this question correctly. Al of my goals were weight related. They may not be correlated to a specific number, but they were all directly affected by my weight. Like riding roller coasters. Flying without a belt extender. Buying clothing in regular stores.

- Have you met those non-weight goals? I have met all of my post surgery goals thus far with the exception of Horseback Riding and that is only because I haven't had the opportunity. Everything I have is directly weight related now, like reaching my goal weight. Renewing my vows in a beautiful dress. I also would like to get a new job. I think it was very difficult for me to be taken seriously at a higher weight.

My number one goal is to stand and walk without knee pain.

I have many other goals, some physical--improvement to my health in various ways, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes. Other goals have to do with things others have said--fitting in an airplane seat, buying regular clothes. I'm also female and single, so I'm wondering what my interactions with men in general, and one man in particular, might be like a year or two from now.

I want to enjoy clothes again. I used to love fashion but when I gained weight I just couldn't get into it anymore. I also want to not be the "fat" funny girl.

- What are your non-weight (#) related goals?

I want to feel strong and be able to run after and with my 3 yo son.

I'm 6 weeks post op.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
