I'm feeling extremely tired today. My mom left this morning to go back home, so maybe it's just that combined with my body recovering. I'm having a really hard time with my Protein. I just hate the Protein Shakes so much. I'm just kind of blah today. Tomorrow will be better.

I hope you feel better and so sweet of your mom to help you in this time of healing.Mommies are great. The Protein Shakes can get you down especially when you see them every day. You are a trooper keep pushing through.

Well well I finally had my first BM today. I think the threat of MOM scared my colon into complying.

Only on this forum do I feel ok about posting something like that lol.

I am way behind on posts this afternoon. We walked about 2.5 miles today on Mission and Pacific beach. I really think I need to slow down a little. I feel fine, but I am worried I will over do it and pay for it later. Well I have all next week off from work so I will take things a little slower once I get home tomorrow.

👍That is lovely walking on the beach one to get exercise in and enjoyment all in one swipe.

I will have to agree. Unfortunately, no kitchen for me to work in currently. There just isn't a win at this point. But, I think I'll get some from a restaurant tomorrow perhaps. We'll see. That looks delicious btw!! Yum.

I keep forgetting you don't have functioning kitchen. That has to be hard. How long until the renovations are done?

Yes, it really was lovely to walk slowly along the shore. The Water felt so nice not that cold at all. I

I was amazed at how skimpy the bikinis are in California. Even if I get to my goal weight I would never where a bikini. I would feel like I was walking around in my bra and panties..lol. I guess I am just too old for that.

It sure did scare mine. Had a small bm the day I took it. But yesterday, I was on the toilet for a good long while, twice! After the second time, my belly was hurting. I hope it slows down. So I made sure to drink Water afterwards.

Hopefully within the next two weeks. I'm waiting for the counter tops to be installed. They came by last Tues to measure, says they're working to get them in hopefully by Wed this week. The kitchen won't be fully done, as my husband has to do a lot of finishing touches, but I could finally work with a countertop in. I feel bad that my family has been subjected to a lot of frozen foods. Thankfully my grocery store has fresh meals prepared that you pop in the oven. Closest to having a home cooked meal. Those have been great for them.

I'm so sorry @Newme17 it was the battle of Protein Shakes talking. I am so happy you will be advancing. (psst take me with you). You go girl.

I'm usually don't have fear. No need for it, but with me advancing, I have some concerns. I really don't want to experience that dumping thing again. So, although I could advance, I think I'll take it slow. I'll start with something simple, like cream of wheat with some Protein added. But my nut says she wants me to try fish and eggs before my first post op appt on the 31st. So, I guess I'll be doing that too. I'm sure once I start adding, I'll get more comfortable with trying other things. We shall see....

Lol. I wouldn't consider myself too old for that, but I wouldn't do it either anyway. I do love modesty...you can still look good and sexy too that way. 😉 Just my opinion. But I suspect I'd have to get tucks and lifts just to make it look good walking around in panties be bras on the beach. Lol

I should get my husband to take me for a walk on the beach too. I didn't think of it. Do you live near a beach @Sweet as peaches?

I took off my binder last night to try and sleep without it. As I laid down, I kept having spasms. I tried to ignore them and eventually fell asleep. Woke up a few mins ago (it's 5:57am now) with spasms. So I go to the bathroom, nothing special happened. Put my binder back on and the spasms are gone. Im gonna try to sleep a bit more, but now I have that nagging empty stomach feeling. I really don't want to get up, mostly because our inside dog, a toy poodle name Dash, will expect me to let him out of his crate and outside and I don't feel like doing all of that just now. Lol. He's still a puppy and drives me nuts these days.

So, I'll try for more sleep, if not, it's gonna be a long day. At least I'll get out of the house and go to church and possibly the grocery store.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
