Frustrated...no loss in 10 days

Recommended Posts

Hi steph, hope your doing well since surgery.

The stall is normal, I had a stall that lasted about the same time, finally started moving again on Friday. My nut had me increase my intake as I was not getting enough macros in as I increased my activity. If you are logging your meals and macros, have them check to make sure your, you may need to adjust them intake.

Great, so here's how to do it.

Go to the goals tab, under nutrition goals, select calories and macronutrients goals.

Then input your target daily calories and %of carbs, Protein and fat.
I have mine set as follows: calories-800, carbs-20%, protein-50%, fat-30%.

Some important things to keep in mind:
1. The fats are all, both good and bad (butter is bad but almonds or salmon is good fats)

2. The app subtracts your calories burned from exercise, so it can be a bit confusing at first when monitoring the macros throughout the day. The best way to verify you are in the zone is, at the bottom of the page where you log your meals, select nutrition. This will show you your % of actual compared to your goal. Just keep within these targets and you will be fine.

I am in a group of other sleevers, if you want to add me to your friends list, my user name is sleevinpops. A lot of us also use Fitbit for activity tracker and step challenges, if you use Fitbit, you can friend me there as well, email is vban@charter.net.

All the best!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
