Ok so I had my gastric sleeve surgery January 23rd of this year. A week later I was in the hospital because my heart rate was elevated. They thought it was because of the pain. A few days later I started having pain in my left pelvic area, went to the ER and had 2 have emergency surgery 2 remove my left ovary, it had become horses and it was hemmoraghing. So I came home days later and my heart rate shot back up and I felt some pain in my stomach on the right side, so again I go 2 tha ER an found out I had pancreatitis. So again I had 2 have emergency surgery 2 remove my gallbladder. Once I came home this time we noticed that my heart rate was still high even with me resting. It made me dizzy like I wanted to faint. So I went to my cardiologist and he diagnosed me wit Atrial Flutter. Now in 2 more weeks I have to go 2 Pensacola and have a ablation done to my heart 2 get me to a normal beat with my heart. Now all of this could or could not have been a direct result of my sleeve surgery. But I do not regret tha sleeve surgery. The weight is coming off great, but I can't enjoy it fully because of all these other issues. Is anybody else having problems? But here are my results so far :

I myself am ending up with a hysterectomy, so I can relate to things happen that are side effects of the surgery, but not directly related. I guess we are just the lucky ones! I've even needed blood and Iron transfusions because of my female issues so you aren't alone.
On a side note, I had a cardiac ablation in 2001 (my early 20s) and it was the scariest surgery of my life but best thing ever. You have to stay awake and that is no fun. My heart was completely fixed that day (they burned my main conductor) and I've not had a single problem with it since. Hope yours is the same.
I also don't regret this decision! It's changed my life in so many positive ways, ways I couldn't fix myself. Good luck to you and keep us updated on your progress!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
