Power bar makes a great vanilla yogurt protien bar that has 26g of protien. It is good but all the Vitamins kinda make your mouth burn. Well atleast it makes mine. The vanilla yogurt bar is the only one I really like, and for a meal on the go its filling.

No need to look at online products, there are tons of great, healthy, DIY options. Quick to boot! Plus, you want substance, not just something you down. The substance is what will sit in the pouch and create the "full" sensation. drinks, etc. have their place, but you want actual food - preferably hard Proteins - whenever you can get it.

If you're going to use a supplement, use a solid bar whenver possible (see above reason). I don't remember the brand of my favorite one, but Snickers makes one that's ok.

Here are some I use when I'm travelling.

Starkist tuna pouches, and if you prefer not to eat plain tuna, use condiment pack mayo. You could do relish, too. Just squeeze into the tuna pouch, stir and enjoy. There are also tuna salad kits that come with little spoons.

Buy some turkey pepperoni and microwave it on paper towels/plates until it's crunchy. 2 - 3 min depending on the microwave. When they're dry, they'll be as crispy as chips, and will go nicely into a sandwich baggy.

Jerky! I have an easier time with the more moist kinds (flavored ones, e.g. terriyaki, seem to be more moist). Our Green Acres carries a buffalo Jerky that is very low fat/carb, but all Jerky will be fine if you aren't counting carbs. If you are, then just watch the carb count.

String cheese... dont' want it out of the fridge for too long though. Unless the packaged ones don't need to be refrigerated (not sure, never looked, would think they do need to be).

Breakstone brand makes single serving cottage cheeses. Same with refrigeration.

Beef Jerkey! I am having issues eating any meat lately, but I get beef jerkey and it goes down fine.

I found a website that makes the best IMO (i can't find any local beef Jerky that tastes good, but I loved it as a kid).

Buffalo Bills Premium Beef Jerky, Beef Sticks, Venison Jerky

I tried the western cut, and the country cut. Western is hard, country is squishy.. I didn't like the squishy as much (more likely to PB) but the western is WONDERFUL.

I get teriyaki and sweet & spicy.

I eat string cheese or cheddar cheese sticks. Nuts are great Protein and the good fat. South Beach makes a good Protein Bar (10g) in Peanut Butter and chocolate(pretty good).Lunchables makes a "lil' lunchable" for young kids that has crackers cheese and turkey (140 cal and 9g protein). good luck!

I've always LOVED beef jerky ... I find myself eating it more these days to help get in the Protein I need. I buy the Tillamook brand @ Winco as it is always so tender, not rough like some brands.

Just curious Laura, what does that sweet & spicy flavor taste like? Have you tried their original?

I would take nuts or yogurt probably.

Eating on the run is quite hard. A lot of the times I just done eat, and get by on coffee. Not that that's great health practice!

I prefer nuts, too. Pistachios are great, because they give you something to do with your hands and makes it seem like you are eating more than you are.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
