Hello,

I am working towards the sleeve in August.

I had my initial consult in January.

I had my second check in this week.

I was down 11 pounds just by making some minor diet changes.

I had not eaten pizza in 3 weeks.

Cut diet soda to one 20 oz per day instead of four 20 oz bottles per day.

Fast food once per week instead of 3 times per week.

Have not exercised at all.

Last night I relapsed and ate an entire family size pizza.

It had pepperoni, bacon, sausage and extra cheese.

I ate the whole thing by myself.

Today I feel guilty and feel like crap mentally and emotionally and spiritually.

Keep going, today is a new day. You've lost 11 pounds, that is amazing. Keep making small changes each day like you are. The only way I could get off the carbs was to just go cold turkey. Having any in my system just led to further cravings. Everyone is different, do what you need to do for you to be successful. Remember your end goal and why you are doing this, to be a healthier, happier you. Take this time to research, watch inspirational YouTube videos, check Pinterest for healthy Protein ideas and log everything you consume on a good app like My Fitness Pal so you can look back and see the food you actually eat. You can do this. It was the best decision I have made in years, mentally, spiritually and emotionally!!

I agree with @AnneElliot, if you don't have any local meetings the website Intherooms.com has all kinds of different OA meetings you can attend in the privacy of your own home.

Thank you both for your kind words and support.
I used to attend Over-Eaters Anonymous back in like 2009 but haven't gone since then.
I know yesterday was emotional eating as my wife and I had been fighting all day.
I was like a heroin addict with that pizza.
Food is literally a drug for me.
My wife is down 30 pounds and looking to get sleeved in April.
Mine won't be until late July or early August.

I am really getting into oa now. Your right. It is truly an addiction.

I am a recovering alcoholic and go to AA meetings.
I have struggled with other addictions.
I am almost 9 years sober, but I abuse food.

Congrats on your soberity. I don't drink for religious reasons. But I wonder if I would have been addicted to alcohol in the same way as food. It's all an addiction. Destructive in their own ways.

May I ask what religion? Mormon?
I know several Mormons.

I thought I recognized that name. I love Jane Austen books.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
