Like others, I will be putting away money now for the next 1.5-2 years to get plastics done. However, I don't see that as a gift to myself, it's just the second part of the weight loss journey. I would also like to get a tattoo, but I would wait until after plastics are finished.

So, for hitting goal, I'd like to do something that I would never have been able to do at my current or highest weight, like climb Kilimanjaro, or hike to Everest base camp, or see the gorillas in Uganda/Rwanda (forgetting the fact that the hours+ hike through a humid jungle would have been a killer, apparently the silverback gorillas feel threatened by "large" (i.e. obese) humans and will sometimes show displays of aggression towards them). Or there are some great walks that I would like to do, such as the Camino de Santiago in France/Spain or the Machu Picchu trek in Peru. I'll probably need to keep a separate savings account for any of those trips as well. ;-)

Awesome. I'm sure my hubby would love to do that too. LOL He didn't have an older model, but a 2012. He wants a newer one now. I love Camaros myself. Especially the 69 Camaro....FAVORITE!!! I wish I had one.

I hope you do your goal! Have fun with it too!!!

I'm getting a full peacock wrapping around my calf in color. I'm going to start this summer. I'll be 5 months post-op.

That's going to be so BEAUTIFUL! I just saw a peacock tat on someone's arm/back and it was just stunning! I'd love to see pics when you start/finish!

That's a beautiful tattoo! What a great reward.

I am being rewarded this may with a trip to Ireland!! I have wanted to go my whole life, and to know I will be close to goal weight will be amazing. I will be able to hike and bike!

My reward for hitting 230 is skydiving (haven't done it yet, but it's coming!). I've always said I'd get a tattoo when I hit 200, and I went ahead and paid for the art a few weeks ago. It should be done sometime next month. Really stoked, it'll be my first! It's Hebrew calligraphy for "set apart". It'll be on the back of my neck/spine. I've got 18 lbs to my final goal of 159. Maybe I'll reward myself with a thigh lift? emoji23.png

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see your tat "Set Apart" in Hebrew. Oh, hon, that has some awesome meaning for me too. :) Not sure about skydiving though. LOL You can have it all. hahaha. Although a good friend of mine had a dream about me skydiving. I don't think it means literal though, so I'll take another translation of it. Ha!!! Congrats on your loss and yay to almost the final goal!

Those trips sound awesome. You should definitely look into Groupon for things of the sort. As for the silverback gorillas...wow, I didn't know that! But I understand why they may feel that way, because they are so large and powerful and they don't want anyone else to be either. Right? Seems like it would be that way.

I hope all is well with you post-op. What a great new life, eh? Blessings to you hon!

I'm using the word מוקדשת. which is the female version of set apart/consecrated/sanctified. I'm using these guys: http://www.hebrew-tattoos.com/our-works I'll definitely post photos when it's done!

Still trying to get the hang of this. I want to get done to 145-150. I was happy during that time, but soon after had serious medical issues, and lost my job.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
