Honestly did anyone CHEAT on their liquid diet and was still able to get the sleeve done?

On day 3 or 4 I cracked and had like a dozen saltines...lol. I felt so guilty afterwards that I didn't do it again. That was the only "food" I had during my two weeks. I was too afraid of my doc because he was a no b.s. type of guy that would have walked away from the surgery if my liver hadn't shrunk.

On evenings when I was really hungry and needed the feel of something in my stomach, I would have a cup of steamed broccoli. It would take the edge off and I feel helped me to avoid binging on bad things.

Everyone's pre-op diet is different. By the time I started my pre-op, I'd lost 20 pounds just from NUT meetings. So my liver had already shrunk so much, it was only a week long, and I was allowed one lean meal a day, in addition to my 2x Protein shakes. I didn't find this difficult at ALL.

The trick is really just to make sure your liver has shrunk enough that they can work around it. So, I mean, do you want to risk it?

I had 1 week of 5 shakes a day. During that time I ate one French fry and had a cup of broth from Mexican chicken Soup. I did totally fine and was able to have my surgery.

I ate a couple pieces of celery today because I was really munchy and I looked on line and I said no celery before surgery. So I called the coordinator of the hospital and she told me no more celery but I would be OK for surgery. She said surgery did not break down really well in your stomach. So no more celery for me. But I did fine that Dannon yogurt 80 cal yogurt's were the bomb. banana cream excellent, strawberry cheesecake was great haven't tried much more. They are 12 g of Protein and 8 to 9 g of carbs

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
