Thanks everyone for all of your support, it made me cry. I weighed myself today and I am down 2 Lbs. :clap2: I realize I did not gain the weight over night, but would sure like to loose it in my sleep. This website is the best thing for me when I am feeling depressed or frustrated. I wish all of you the best of luck! We are all winners.

I can hardly wait for my first fill. I was banded Aug. 15 and have no restriction. I can eat anything and if not careful I can eat large portions. I get my first fill Oct. 1. I am so scared this will not work for me. I have only lost 17 Lbs. and 8 of that was pre-diet. My family wants to know why I am not loosing faster. They accuse me of cheating. I drink the Protein shakes and walk daily, but seem to be stuck at 17 lbs.:cry I read other people's threads and it seems like everyone is loosing more than I am help!:help:

I got my band on August 27th. I have been fairly successful in my weight loss, but it has slowed down. At this current moment, I am so hungry, I could chew my leg off. I go see my dr. next week and I hope he schedules a fill for me.

I feel tghe same way. I hate that full feeling not lasting for long periods anymore. I am 3 weeks out and I get my first fill on 10/9/07. I can not wait! I have lost 22lbs but only 9 post-op and those have been a struggle. The scale won't budge and I am walking 2-3 miles a day and eating all my Protein staying within 700 cals or so. Its so frustrating!!!!

Guinesgirl - I know everyone is diff - but here is my suggestion - increase your calories - if you aren't losing... I eat about 1000 -1200 daily do about the same about of exercise and I have been losing 1 to 2 lbs a week - and i am way older than you... IMHO if you limit yourself that much 700 calories - you are setting yourself up for a binge or failure - I know some here are eating only 800 calories a day and losing -

It could be worth a try - what's it going to hurt...

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
