Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Hi, firsts a big thanks, reading the pages on this site gave me the motivation to take the plunge and book my place with Dr Chris on 10 September. My heart was racing when I clicked send and the deposit was paid! No going back now.

Has anyone travelled from Charleroi airport to the hotel? I have email Frederik but he hasn't got back to me yet.

Another question, I have read about the drain but on another forum, they talked about a catheter, does everyone need one? Anyone else going the same day as me?

Sharon x

hi pink congrats on your new begining, not sure about the airport hun i drove, the drain isnt that bad just more of a weired feeling comming out and no you dont have a catheter which is a good thing x:smile2:

Catheter??? Surely you only need one of those if you cant get out of bed to go to the loo?

Its not major surgery hunny, so I couldnt see the need for that, its only keyhole, big difference.

Maybe someone is getting mixed up?

That poor soul who couldnt have her band, how sad, our greatest fear isnt it.

Oh right Slinks, thanx hunny.

Thanks , thats a big relief:thumbup:! I know, I suppose it's something that goes through everyones head when they haven't met the surgeon beforethe operation, still fingers crossed it doesn't happen too often!Hopefully, that lady will get another chance. x

You will probably be in a dream until after the 'op' Pinkshaz, cant really believe its happening, thats how I was, a mixture of fright and excitement. But it all turns out well and is such a relief when they wake you up and say its all over.

That was the high for me, I was sooooo happy.

You'll be fine sweetheart, try not to worry too much, and with each day after surgery the discomfort lessons and you recover quickly.

Make sure you dont overdo things and try to get someone to care for you. Try to rest as much as possible, your body will then heal faster.

Hi, all back at the hotel now from hospital bed to hotel garden drinking a nice strong black coffee, guess that says it all.

The night after surgery was bloody awful and has now been sent to the memory bin.

I must say the whole thing has not been to bad just watch out for the drink before the xray it went through me in 10mins.

I am lucky my wife came with me and has helped me through this, I take my hat off to the two ladys that came on there own, very brave.

Well time to chill before the trip home in the morning, good luck to the next bandsters do not worry it is not as bad as you may think

Regards

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
