I'm 5 days post op and bending is rough. It's doesn't hurt really bad but enough to say I shouldn't be bending. Also, I've been walking a lot the past few days. I went grocery shopping etc, but each day after about 2 hours of being out, I needed to come back home and lay down. I believe by day 7, I'll be really close to normal

I'm a teacher and also work from home. I'm on vacation from the first till February 22 (and if I wasn't I would get a month paid leave). My surgery was last Tuesday and I plan to start working from home again tomorrow. I can rest if I need to and whenever I need to.

I am still hoping to be able to work next Monday after having the procedure Friday. I know it sounds optimistic but if it's not any worse than my gallbladder surgery I am hopeful

I would at least take 5-7 days off. I had surgery wed 1-18 and was supposed to go back to work tomorrow and I just can't do it. Hard to explain but I just don't think I can be anywhere for 8 hours

I had surgery 1/11/17. I went back to work on Tuesday 1/17/17. Office job, but I walk around alot. As long as your surgeon cleats you, I don't see why not. I feel great...

Was the recovery about what you expected in terms of pain, nausea and light-headedness?

I wasn't in any pain really, and I wasn't nauseous because I wasn't eating, only Water and the Cytosport Protein Water. I just took it easy, walked around every couple hours. Just do band or lift anything. I think it helped me, because laying in bed for 4 days was getting to me.

I have a desk job and was physically exhausted returning to work 2 weeks after surgery. I also thought I did a great job ( I process payroll) I made big mistakes luckily I paid everyone correctly but it wasn't done right and I had to redo my reports and fix bill payment checks. Everyone is different, but I would be careful.

I'm on week 4 of 8 weeks out because I do a lot of heavy lifting. I couldn't imagine going back to an active job after a week, I wasn't even feeling well enough to bend until after the 2nd week. Good luck to you.

I took one week off, but I'm in an office all day. One week was perfect for me, but I did have low energy until week 3 or so.

I took off 3 days after surgery and I was fine. I have a desk job but walk a lot on construction sites. Dr told me 2 weeks but I was fine after a few days.

I had surgery 6 days ago, and I'm heading back to work tomrw. I'm a hair dresser so hopefully I can take it easy. I am in alittle bit of pain, and still dizzy and nauseas, but people are bugging me to have their hair done. I also am a single mom of two, and those damn kids didn't even let me rest! Story of my life. I can do this!

I had my surgery on a Friday and I feel that I would have been able to go back to work on Monday.. I don't because I had everyone telling me to take time off.. if I didn't have that I would have been back at work.. I am a teacher so my mobility is pretty flexible. My surgery and recovery went exceptionally well ( that's what they told me).. you might want to see how your surgery goes though.. but if you take the week off Friday to following Monday is 10 days not including the surgery day.. if you are in the same boat I was in.. its enough days

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
