Worried about possible reschedule...

Recommended Posts

DS scheduled for January 17th. Started my liquid diet yesterday. Had my preop testing done Monday. Saw today that my WBC is slightly elevated, my Vitamin D and Iron are low. I'm not feeling sick at all. My allergies have been super bad though. I am hoping this doesn't cost me my surgery date. Any one else have any blood work issues????

I constantly have severely low Vitamin D; like in the red zone. I was still able to have my surgery. Did your doctor say anything about a possible reschedule because of your blood work?

This actually happened to me...my sleeve was scheduled for 9/28 then my wbc was slightly, I mean just a lil bit elevated. They sent me back for another test and it came back same. I didn't feel sick or anything. By a week to my surgery I caught the cold and cough. Surgery was put off for me to heal, I had to wait 4 weeks to be cleared of any cough or cold, then for another date for 12/5. I'm 4 weeks post op and doing fine now..

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
