4 days post op and I've advanced my diet

PS: I didn't know Soup came with a little loaf of bread! I licked all over it and chewed on a corner like a dog with a bone, then tossed it out the window. Had to be a sight for the lady riding next to me

I've got no words...
I'm not one of those chew and spit food people. I just found some bread in my bag and it's been several weeks since I've had any. Never had it from Panera and I just wanted to taste it.

And that vivid description came after the fact, in hindsight. I'm thinking that's what anyone witnessing it would have perceived.

You licked it, gnawed on it and then littered with it.

Have you considered counseling to help you with your food urges?

I really don't get the point in posting stuff like this online. You are an adult. What is the point of confessing to strangers?

Yea. I'm sitting in my surgeons office now and a referral is on my questions list. Although I don't think I had a "food urge" I made conscious decision. I have a house full of food, including several types of my favorite breads. I just wanted to know what Panera breads little loaf tasted like. Geez.

PS: I slowed down and tossed it into a waste drain.

The app is the point.

What's the point of posting your comment?

I'm curious to understand the logic.

App user, makes sense. *sigh*

Safe space? Are you kidding? Nothing safe about eating off plan post op. Nothing safe about sharing the thought process that being a "little rebellious" is ok. To me, this puts all the lurkers and those doing pre-op research in a really dangerous position. You (general/plural) are giving yourself justification/permission to "cheat" "just a little".

It's not cute, it's not funny (looooool) and it's not safe.

No judgement. It's your body. Just offering my opinion.

Ugh. Cranky much? Don't attack me. This is how I deal.

You obviously deal by trolling. Yuck ????

No one is attacking you. Calm down.

You advanced your diet knowing you shouldn't have them bragged about it online. What did you think was going to happen?

And my issue with people doing this is, it encourages other new people to do the same because someone online did it and didn't get sick. It is just Russian Roulette with your health and safety. And it creates a bad environment.

This was supposed to be a good place to discuss everything about WLS and that is why I joined yestersay, but there are so many users who just jump all over anyone who makes the slightest mistake or unknowingly posts something that triggers a freaking avalanche of users. This isn't a discussion forum at all.

For real. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't bring that drama to my post.

Thank you

Umm a discussion has opposing opinions, if not it is just an echo chamber.

I'm feeling sorry for ever thinking I could use this app.

This "matching" user is a habitual attacker. Negative Nancy for real!

Come now. I just saw you chewing out and name calling someone for asking about the AA sleevers thread.

I've noted your help.

I'm asking you, respectfully to leave my thread alone.

Thanks

You mentioned several food urges. Tomato Soup, bread, broccoli cheddar soup... You mentioned your characteristics as being "a little bad" and "rebellious".

Not at all a good idea or a smart choice when a doctor just surgically removed 80% of your stomach and you are eating foods not allowed on your healing stomach, but hey! You do you. :D

What name did I call them?

I said they lack critical thinking.

If special snowflake is name calling...

And yeah I have an issue with people attacking minorities spaces online. I'm not going to apologize for it. No one attacks all the PCOS or Christian forums but someone always want to come for the AA thread. Even though you have to hunt for that thread to even find it, so they are going in it and attacking on purpose. So yeah I have issues with that and I will defend that thread and it's purpose. People barely even use it anymore so I don't even get the gripes about it. Like I said you have to look for it to even see it.

I'm not cranky at all nor am I trolling. Good luck with your journey. ;)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
