Mine only get people food on very rare occasions. I was thinking today how it is funny that I am so very careful about what they eat so they don't gain weight, but I have had no problem shoveling bad food choices in to my mouth regardless of the weight gain!

For me, I think it has something to do with me having a caretaker personality. I always put everyone before myself, including my dogs apparently! Well no more! I am doing this surgery for me, and taking control of my life for once. It only took me 42 years to figure that out! [emoji2]

I certainly did not expect this, but keep the dog pics coming! I love it!

Okay you've already seen mine but here's some more since they're my pride and joy (and flipping cute)!

They are miniature pinscher twins we adopted at 6 weeks who have never been apart. Reese (black) and Rolo (tan).

It did help me. I struggle with measurements, and trying to eat Protein, veggie, starch at a meal. So 3 oz of chicken, pretty much eliminates everything else.

I feel the pressure in my chest so soon after I start eating, I don't believe I could be full. It only takes a bite or 2 more the start the unpleasantness. I'm learning though, and this seldom happens now.

Have you ever heard that the food is still in the top of the sleeve 2 hours after eating?

I took my dog to the vet for her vaccinations last fall. As we were leaving, my vet (please picture a tall, proper, grey haired Russian woman with a thick accent) stated to me, "you must be vigilant about winter weight gain." And as I looked up to respond to her, she continued, "also, for the dog."

Layla is my five year old mutt, four legged trash can. She's a German shepherd, lab and corgi mix and I adore her.

I have not heard of that, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. You might want to ask your doc about that.

This is very often the view if I am not sitting at the table or my desk to eat.

Okay, I looked, but didn't find anything. I am old, you know. What does TWIO mean?

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
