Doctor recommended G2 drink..?

So G2 drinks are on my list for stage I (I'm 4 days out), and my doctor had specifically circled it on my sheet when I was at my preop appointment. I finally found some at the store and it has 7g of sugar. I was surprised to see it had sugar at all if my doctor recommended it. Anyone drinking or told to drink G2?

No sugar for me . I drink the Crystal Light my Doc recommend for a flavor drink .

My nutritionist said to go for the little bit of sugar in G2 if I had issues with fatigue. She told me to Water it down though. So far I haven't needed it and I'm day 5.

I drink Isopure Ready To Drink. No sugar, but has 40g of protein & zero carbs. They have a variety of flavors my favorite is Blue Raspberry. It is really good.
