Anyone from ND

Recommended Posts

I have been approved and am waiting for a date. I have made a few posts but lose my place so I'm not sure which threads I've been following. I am an emotional eater and know that I will need to make a lot of changes, not only diet. I appreciate the support found here and will keep trying to remember where I have left off. Would like to know if there are other ND's who have found this site. I wish I could meet everyone, all are so open, honest and positive. Thanks, Penny.

Hello Penny,

I'm not from ND, but spent the first 20 years of my life in Minn near Fargo. Been a few years ago....

Good luck on your journey!

Bruce

Hi,

I am from Mn but live south of Fargo, ND. Had my surgery in Fargo on 6/20/07. There are a few on here from ND that I have met. One from Fargo and the other is from Jamestown, ND.

Good luck to you!!

Thanks, I appreciate the offer, but don't think I could handle the winters any more. I don't think I'd be able to talk my DW into it either, too far from her family.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
