I'm nervous. I just got my date today and I guess I didn't expect it to be so soon. I start the preop diet on Monday and I'm just scared, nervous and excited.

I guess I have to be ready. I am looking forward moreso from the break of work during recovery than anything else. It's been drilled in adnausium.

The only good funerals I guess I want to have is a sushi sake one. I am already in my presurgery diet phase at a limit of 1000cals a day.

Ready or not... here I come... or is it go!

I start my liquid diet (4 weeks) on Monday, so I'm even sitting on the bench for Thanksgiving this year. 4 weeks because I have had diabetes for 20 years and they want to ensure that my liver is nice and lean prior to surgery.

All things considered, I am super excited. I haven't felt the need to do any food funerals, although my "last supper" tomorrow night will be sushi.

I agree, December sleevers are hardcore!

I start my post op pre diet on December 5. I am really nervous about it. All liquids........... Truly seems impossible. But, I am going to do it. I've already kicked caffine and carbination. This coming week I am cutting sugar. Hopefully not going to have those headaches everyone talks about on day 2 and 3 of my pre-op diet. I'll let you know how it goes!

Dec 7th surgery for me. I am definitely freaking out about it but trying to keep my head on straight. I started my 2 week pre-op diet today. I'll be a couple days short of 2 weeks but I had to have thanksgiving. I kept calling it "The Last Supper".

I'm so stressed out and I know I'm being a complete butthead to people because after almost a year (yes, had so much trouble with multiple things) it's finally here. I'm not one to normally worry so much but it's the lifestyle change that's got me going. Also i'm worried I will be ridiculously sick after surgery. That's probably my biggest fear.

Started liquid diet today and I don't remember seeing so many dang food commercials in my life. Was not real crazy with thanksgiving. Keep telling my self it is all about me and a better health and push on. Two weeks till the Big Day!

Definitely been having food funerals My birthday is on 12/6 so I had an early bday with my family today. My husband is worried that I'm having too many food funerals haha. I'm supposed to start my liquid diet Dec 1 so I'm gonna try to lay off crazy food starting now so it's not too much of a shock to my system lol. Good to know I'm not the only naughty kid in class.

Im with you on the food commercials... Lol. Then yesterday my dad bought my son fast food and started naming the items as he pulled each thing out of the bag, one after another. I got sooo heated! Ughhhhhhhhh! It's going to be a tough rode. But Decembers sleevers are definitely hardcore!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
