IF THEIRS ANYONE OUT THERE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ABOUT HOW MUCH YOU ARE EATING NOW AND HOW MUCH food YOU ARE GOING TO BE REQUIRED TO EAT SFTER YOU ARE ON REGULAR FOODS. I HAVE ALREADY BEEN BANDED 9/5. I'M JUST CURIOUS BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN HEARING DIFFERENT AMOUNTS FROM OTHER PEOPLE. AND I DON'T WANT TO EAT MORE THAN I'M SUPPOSE TO !!:help:

I am still on my liquids. I had my band on August 27th. I have 4 oz. of liquids at a time. I usually wait 3-4 hours before my next 4 oz. I will go on mushies next week. And then solid foods.

I'm far from my sweet spot, but 5 months post-op.. For b'fast I can only eat about 1/4 cup.. for lunch I can eat about 1 cup, and dinner I can eat up to 2-3 cups.

Should is another story..but I can eat up to those amounts without feeling 'stuffed'.

I was banded on 8/27. I am on the mushy/pured food time now and for the next three weeks. Honestly the 1/4 cup that I was told to eat is ok. I thought the same thing also, prior to actually doing it that I aould not be filled. My doctor told me to still have the Protein Shakes and those are quite filling. I have the Ispoure mix (50g of protein) with 12 oz skim milk (12 g). I divide this into thre 4 oz servings that I have without the day. Between that and the 1/4 cup of food I really am ok. But still I really can't wait to eat solid food.:nervous

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
