Any other November sleevers out there?

I have my pre-op at the hospital today (around 10:30). Surgery next Friday (11/18). So far on my pre-op diet (low carb) I've lost 3lbs.

Congrats! I hate this liquid diet. I'm turning into a crybaby! I can see that I will probably be rather emotional after surgery. Ugh

I received mine on November 4th.

How are you handling Thanksgiving if your on liquids and surgery is after the holiday? I'll be on my 2 week liquid 500 cal a day diet. Surgery is Nov 29th

Perhaps some Tomato Soup if that is allowed per your doctor recommended diet? Some of those are low in calories, but I don't know about sugar/carbs/fat. Definitely check with your nutritionist. I'm sure they hear that question a lot.

I'm sorry you're on a liquid diet. At least after surgery you get full faster so maybe it won't be so hard, but before surgery nothing has changed so I can't imagine how hard that is.

She and I have the same Dr. It's Protein shakes, h2o, broth, Jello and popsicles.

Okay. Mine is similar, but not exact.

I use adobo seasoning with pepper from the my Latin market to add flavor to my broth, which I love. Others have said they made broth with carrots, celery, seasoning, then strained it to add more flavor. I also found a Thai seasoned chicken stock (nutritional information fit guidelines of what I could have) at my local Wegman's. I'd probably be okay with that and Protein Shakes. Maybe have a caramel flavored one (premiere Protein is what I use) for "dessert".

My surgery was Nov 4th. I'm a week post op. I got the preop jitters the morning of my surgery. My surgeon went over the complications of the surgery with my husband and I, and he said he's never seen or heard of anything happening in surgery. It's how well YOU follow directions post op. You'll be fine :) just follow your post op diet, walk around every hour, and keep hydrated and you'll be on the right track.

Don't be scared.

I was. But it was not anywhere as bad as I thought it would be.

I had the sleeve. Took less than 45 min.

Even with all my health issues I went home the next day.

To me the worst thing is the GAS.

I'm scheduled for 11/21 too. Seems like there's a lot of us for that date.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
