I know it doesn't help to hear this now bit your doc could have ordered a alternative stress test for ppl like you who can't run due to injury or in my case disability I've had two stress test done chemically and it's the same test no treadmill involved

Thanks, butterflywarrior, I wish I had thought the stress test through before doing it. It didn't occur it would exacerbate my foot issues but was concerned about my knee that has no acl. Lesson learned!

Plantar fasciitis is the WORST. I have it badly in my right heel and moderate on the left. It sucks sooooo badly. I'm hoping the weight loss helps.

I've had plantar fasciitis a couple of times in the past, though this is different from the last times. I'm pretty sure I've been misdiagnosed this time. I'm going to look into the Rolfing and astym also. Thanks for the info. Although I know weight wasn't the only factor, after all I do work mostly on my feet, I'm hoping loosing will help.

Hi @@vegbeth,

I have P.F. too and I had to get a series of 3 cortisone shots to feel a difference.

Well folks thanks for supportive words. My foot is very slowly starting to feel better. Thanks in part to my finding a second doc who didn't send me home to wait 2-3 months for my custom orthotics to come in. He built up my current orthotics to provide better support and gave me a prescription for a anti inflammatory that my stomach can actually tolerate. Still in pain but I can feel it's getting better.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
