Hmmm, I hear about stalls, but not much about weight gain unless you're eating carbs. Are you drinking enough liquid and exercising?

For you to gain weight from eating you would have to go way above your caloric intake.

Water weight get gain is common especially for women. My weight fluctuates even throughout the day. I always weigh myself after going to bathroom first thing in the morning in the buff it will be 3 or so lbs lighter than it is in the evening.

KristenLe 100% Full Disclosure I'm just winging it I don't know what the hell I'm doing or how to measure all this out so I just try to eat less to be safer than sorry. I'll have:

1 yogurt for Breakfast @ 7am

1 piece of meat half the size of the palm of my hand and eat less than half and maybe some sauteed tomatoes and onions @ 4112am

1 bottle of Dasani Water

dinner I'll have ground turkey over rice like a Table Spoon each 1 Dasani Water 16.9oz

And I'll smack on laughing cow Swiss cheese triangles like 3 a day and that's all I eat

@@Suziesue1706 That doesn't seem like enough Protein - but I'm pre-op so maybe I'll be winging it at that point as well. Up until 6 weeks - my plan suggests to have Protein shakes to supplement - until you can eat more and get enough Protein (which should be at least 60-80 gms). You definitely need to increase your Water intake too (or any non-caloric drink). I can use my Protein Shakes as fluids during this stage.

I would ask your NUT for more guidance - that's why they should be offering anyway.

Hang in there!

Do you have a smart phone? If so, I highly recommend you download a food tracker like MyFitnessPal and track every bite.

Aim for at least 80 grams of Protein. (My target is 100 grams so it does vary.)

@@KristenLe is absolutely right. You will need to supplement your Protein until you are able to get enough in with regular food.< /p>

Everyone's journey is different ...if you're eating healthy and getting in some movement ...the weight will come off don't worry ! I stall every other week , and between those weeks I lose 3 to 6 lbs ... Dependent on how my body feels , I'm 45 lbs down and only 2 1/2 months out ... I eat mostly meat and some cheese ...no carbs if I can help it and my doctor thinks I'm doing great .... So don't worry yourself !

Sx date 6/2/16 weight : 246

Today 8/24/17. Weight : 201

Agree, if you're not getting enough calories, your body is storing the fat and often why you'll stall. Best recommendation, don't weigh yourself daily. It'll drive you nuts! I limit myself to once a week and can see real results then and I'm less stressed about how I'm doing.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
