Yeah this part sucks. My surgery was the 6th so guess this is day 2 post op. Im on my pain meds. I keep getting the hiccups which doesn't feel to hot. I've been tired.

Going home from hospital today. Feeling weak but know that's normal. Can't wait to get on the scale. Hope everyone is doing great!

You probably gained weight in the hospital from all the fluids, swelling, gas, etc. so don't be disappointed in what the scale says. It's best to stay off of it for a few weeks.

Yes that must have been it. I actually went down 7 pounds overnight night just from getting the fluids out. 7 pounds! I'm still quite sore but I think the gas is mainly out.

Day 4 post op and today I'm sooooo tired for some reason. Been out for my walk. Had half a tin of soup, drinking my Water as much as possible. Gas is getting less and less day by day but still waiting to . Sorry TMI. Hope you guys are hanging strong. Have to keep telling myself it won't be like this always

Lol Sal. I'm not allowed on my plan. Trying milk and hope that helps

@@lowbmi65 Make sure you are taking a PPI (acid reducer) - that may be the hunger pains you are feeling. Head hunger is very real and unfortunately surgery doesn't take care of that! Also - you should try and get more fluids - that may be causing the hunger pains as well. You're only about 1/2 way to the Water / no calorie fluids goals and will feel better as you hydrate more. Good luck!

Okay I'll try the acid reducer they gave me. If it helps, definitely. I think I'm getting enough fluids, trying anyway. Managed to get down 3/4 of a protein shake over almost 2 hours.

Hey everybody....this thing took me for a loop...but I am doing good...sleeved on the 6th and today was the first day I was able to get any liquid down on my own...ia really REALLY underestimated the gas...I really did. I have a high pain tolerance, but day oone I was in debilitating pain....my doctor did not prescribed ANY pain medication while in the hospital... Only 2 steroids for swelling and inflammation and the first steroid I was given had no affect the what so ever... The nurse lost gas dropped that was delivered by the hospital pharmacy ... Wasn't given thing that helped my pain until 6pm and I was out of surgery since 8:30am....I was able to get up and walk day later that evening once after my pain subsided, but haven't been able to drink anything until today do to nausea....almost had to stay an extra day in the hospital, but had to get the f#ck out of there...so the doctor call me a prescription in for nausea and I went home last night and have been doing pretty good on Fluid....I feel no hunger what so ever...for now...my doctor said my surgery went very well...he said technically i am supposed to be on Clear liquids but he's not stupid so he said give my self a few days to heal and from there I can start experimenting with food but take it easy....I still have gas, it's bearable, it's on my left side and I'm only able to burb it up I can't fart to save my life...if I could I believe the gas would be over with....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Will finish my first week of pre-op diet tomorrow! Down 6 pounds so far. No cravings, actually don't even feel like having my evening shake....but I know I have to stick to the plan. The slimfast high Protein low carb shakes are great. Getting in 90 Gm of protein and day. Surgery on the 17th!

So I have a slight temp. 99.4. Is this normal? Surgery was on Oct 5th. Any advice? Thank you.

My doc said a low temp is normal. But I would check with your surgeon to be sure.

Thanks! I decided to call. He said it wasn't high enough to be concerned yet but I needed to take more deep breaths. Use that breathing thing from the hospital.
