my preop diet starts the day before no solids after Breakfast :)

I went in to have my surgery and was prep and waiting and the hospital had an emergency and they had to reschedule my surgery appointment to Monday October 10th. At first I was disappointed and then I hoped the person that needed emergency surgery survived because I can wait 4 more days for my new life to begin. I also learned so much during the time I waited. Every situation is a learning experience if you let !

Going home from hospital today. Feeling weak but know that's normal. Can't wait to get on the scale. Hope everyone is doing great!

You probably gained weight in the hospital from all the fluids, swelling, gas, etc. so don't be disappointed in what the scale says. It's best to stay off of it for a few weeks.

So far i have gained exactly 10 pounds is coming to the hospital.

Oh I had gained a few from the surgery as well and as luck would have it, 2 days after surgery, my period started, do that added to the bloating and weight gain. Week later and I am heading down.

I'm doing well. Came home yesterday morning. I've been doing a lot of walking around the neighborhood (even went to Target yesterday afternoon!) and staying hydrated. Getting in some Protein (sipping bone broth) but mainly focusing on hydration. Tomorrow (3rd day post-op) is when my team wants me to start focusing on protein - I'll be moving from Clear Liquids to full liquids then). I hope that everyone is doing well!!
