Hey Andee,

When does this feeling coming on? Do you always have it or does it happen after eating something?

I ended up with some acid reflux that I never had before. It can manifest itself in different ways... it made me so nauseous my doc thought I might be pregnant! Some people aspirate, some people get the feeling you describe.

I adjusted my eating habits and had liquids for two days and I was ok. During certain times of the month, I need protonix to help me with it as my band gets so damned tight with all the female stuff that goes on.

I'd talk to your doctor about it... they would much rather you call them than not!

It sounds like you are getting food stuck. It's hard to say because you

didn't say whether you're feeling this way while eating, or all the time,

a certain time of day, etc.

If this happens while you're eating, you're not chewing enough. You have to chew until it's liquid and take very small bites.

I haven't paid to much attention but its been like this all day this morning i had yogurt then for lunch i when to subway had a chicken wrap was not really good. Then for supper i had some spinach dip with tortillas not going to have anything else today just going to wait until tomorrow and start fresh. I dont feel like being sick or anything nothing is coming back up.

Why are you on solids at 27 days? How long have you been eating this way?Just wondering because most doctors don't let you do solids until after the first 30 days and even then you need to take it slow....I don't really call tortilla chips and a chicken wrap slow....

As far as solids/liquids -- it depends on the doctor. They all prescribe a different diet before and after the procedure. My doctor had me on liquids for 5 days, then mushies another week. After two weeks, I was eating solid food.

If you're not completely chewing your food, though, yes -- it'll definitely get stuck. Sometimes it can take a while for it to go one way or the other.

I only had to do 7 days of each stage of the diet, I have been on regular food since wednesday. As for the rap well i pick the chicken out and eat that.

As for the tortilla well i could only eat a cup of it with dip.

To me it sounds like there is air getting in your stomach when you eat. I have that problem sometimes, even when I drink.

That feeling you have is probably food and it should pass. I get that occassionally when I overeat. What I do is get up and walk around. Even if you're walking up and down the hallway in your house, it should get it moving. Also, don't drink or take in any more food because that will just make you feel worse!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well. I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening. So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this?? Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
