Recommended Posts

I'm 4 weeks, and wondering what everyone is eating at 4 weeks. I'm pretty strict on what foods to eat. Afraid to move on too fast. Any tips? On what your eating at 4 weeks. I did just start exercising..too

I'm 8 weeks out. at 4 weeks, I was still on soft/pureed foods...

I ate A LOT of hummus, cottage cheese, egg drop Soup from the local chinese place, and more hummus (hahaha).

If I went out to eat, I'd order a Soup (tomato bisque was one)...

I think I started on tuna at that point as well, mixed with a little mayo to keep it wet. Crab cakes that I made at home to keep the bread crumbs low, and of course Egg faces Ricotta bake!

Breakfast: Greek yogurt or Protein shake

Snack: Protein Bar

Lunch: cheese, turkey..or something similar.

Snack: peel - less apple or Protein Bar

dinner - seafood with a side of steamed veggies.

Next week I am going to try some fresh veggies and more fruit.< /p>

After the 22nd - will add in exercise. Now just a ton of walking.

At that point I was pureeing chicken and sour cream or chicken and cream of chicken a lot. I also really loved to puree the chicken or turkey chili from Trader Joe's. Sooo yummy and quite a bit of Protein. For something sweeter, I would puree pumpkin and greek yogurt or pumpkin and cottage cheese (personal favorite) with some cinnamon. Delish.

I'm eating scrambled eggs, cheese, deli turkey, Beans, baked fish, tuna, and chili. There's more on my list to try as I work towards solid foods.

Wow! I am 3 1/2 wks out and still on soft foods Next Thursday, I start Stage 3 and can add deli meat, tuna, canned fruits in juice or light Syrup, veggies cooked well enough to be pierced by a fork. Interesting how different the various bariatric centers advise us. Mine is very cautious, apparently. I won't be on Stage 4 till mid-August.

I'm in my 4th week too! I'm eating soft foods like eggs, cheese, greek yogurt, Peanut Butter, tuna salad, black Beans, and still having Protein shakes to get me to my goal! I also tried a chicken casserole and pureed the meat - that worked okay. Just don't much like the consistency of pureed meat!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
