  2. 2 weeks out i started with iced decaf then after another 2 weeks i went to half-caf. Now i have either a small half caf or full caffiene. my nutritionist said a cup of coffee a day was fine as long as i made sure to drink equal or more h2o to make up for Fluid loss.

  4. sounds like you are dehydrated. if Water is an issue-try sugar free popscicles and sugar free additives for water. i am 4 months post of and i still struggle with getting enough water. :/

  8. yes it gets better. you might want to look into therapy to help with the mental struggles-it has helped me. good luck!
  9. walk a lot and drink fluids! it took a little over a week for myself to have a bowel movement. i ended up taking a stool softner to help things along.
  10. the first day after surgery i was on clear liquids. then for the next 2 weeks i was on clear and full liquids. i did tomato soup with unflavored Protein powder mixed in. after 2 weeks post op i was able to add in whatever i felt my body was ready for as long as i paid attention to signals and such.
  11. i was told no more then 1 cup of coffee a day and to drink extra water to make up for it. i waited until i was a month post op to drink caffeinated coffee,

  15. my recovery was awesome! the first 2 or 3 days after -i slept a lot but after that i kept moving more and more and as long as i drank enough water i felt fine. was ready to go back to work after a week..but took my original 2 weeks off!

  18. 2 weeks. it was the perfect amount of time. (i had 0 complications or pain after surgery) i went back with a 10lb lifting restriction for a month. Like Barry suggests..if your job is very physical-consider more time off.

  22. Breakfast: Greek yogurt or Protein shake Snack: Protein Bar Lunch: cheese, turkey..or something similar. Snack: peel - less apple or protein bar dinner - seafood with a side of steamed veggies. Next week I am going to try some fresh veggies and more fruit. After the 22nd - will add in exercise. Now just a ton of walking. Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App
  23. check with your doctor. my blood levels were elevated so i was put on 2 weeks of antibiotics and then 2 weeks after that i had surgery. they did do a test on my stomach tissue and found no h. pylori. you should be able to have surgery after the antibiotics. good luck!
