When did you start drinking coffee?

2 weeks out i started with iced decaf then after another 2 weeks i went to half-caf. Now i have either a small half caf or full caffiene. my nutritionist said a cup of coffee a day was fine as long as i made sure to drink equal or more h2o to make up for Fluid loss.

    Tomatoe soup? Postop diets.

the first day after surgery i was on clear liquids. then for the next 2 weeks i was on clear and full liquids. i did tomato soup with unflavored Protein powder mixed in. after 2 weeks post op i was able to add in whatever i felt my body was ready for as long as i paid attention to signals and such.

    H Pylori

check with your doctor. my blood levels were elevated so i was put on 2 weeks of antibiotics and then 2 weeks after that i had surgery. they did do a test on my stomach tissue and found no h. pylori. you should be able to have surgery after the antibiotics. good luck!

Is anyone out there a vegetarian?

I am not strictly a vegetarian but eat meat rarely and have been moving more and more to plant based foods. I use the Vega Protein powder and have at least one shake a day to help get my protein in. I eat veggie burgers, tofu and the plant based "lunch meats". Eating Leftovers

After a 2 week post op liquid diet I went right to solid foods. My plan doesn't include a bridge stage of pureed foods. Of course it's mostly a "pay attention to your body" game. Might be the reheating that changed the food or else just your stomach adjusting. At this stage it's all trial/error stuffs. I have found seafood to be the easiest to digest so far as well. Keep it up! Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App

    Am I the only one

I was sleeved 6/22 and lost 15 lbs the first 2 weeks and now since adding in solids have hit a stall. But I am not worried. This early on my body is still healing and adjusting so that is my focus: hitting my nutrition goals and hesling. The weight will come off as everything catches up! Incision question

one of mine was angry looking for a bit. as long as there isn't foul smelling pus oozing from the incision and you are not running a fever-should be ok.
  22. 34/295/have lost about 22lbs in 2 and 1/2 weeks.
  23. i am pretty sure all your other organs and your abdominal fat help support it. i used to do autopsies for a living and we would remove chest and abdominal organs in one big block....everything is pretty much connected by fat, muscle and ligaments. your organs are suppose to be able to move a little to help absorb day to day movement. but check with your surgeon/doctor before going upside down to be on the safe side.
  24. Orgain makes vegan shakes. And Vega is decent. Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App
