I'm on day 2 also. It sucks to go to work. I work in a manufacturing plant and most people cook their lunch in our buildings kitchen. One operator this week has fried fish chicken and shrimp every day!!! Then we have a department popcorn machine like the movie theater and right after lunch and about 2pm they fire it up and the whole darn building smells like delicious popcorn. I want to go in and kick the glass! Lol

It's worth it but I'm still miserable! 6 more days .... Surgery is 7/5

Ok so day 3, lil foggy like my brain can't keep up. Have lost 4 lbs since Tuesday :-) Not eating does have its good points I suppose lol I can tell my nerves are a lil shorter also like I can't deal with stress at the moment. To loud gets me agitated quickly, I prolly need a nap. Anyway, how are you all doing?

Day 4, feeling really good actually. Had lots of energy, worked on our camper getting ready for vacation.

Only had 1 Protein drink but will have another shortly. Not real hungry which is good but do need to remember to drink more

I start my 2 week pre-op diet July 7 & my surgery is July 21. I am excited but scared. I have a physical scheduled for the 12th. I keep thinking something will happen & I won't be able to have the surgery.

I am at day 19 of 21 on the liquid diet.

I have been having 3 shakes a day with one cup of steamed broccoli/cauliflower with dinner, apart from these last 3 days when I can't have the veggies.

I haven't struggled too much on it and have felt more energy now consuming 600 calories than I ever have before in my adult life.

I have lost 33 pounds so far since starting the liquid diet.< /p>

I'm on Day 4 of the liquid diet and it's a struggle. I was fine in Days 1 & 2 but on 3 and today it's hard. I just want to chew something!! I try to stay positive and remember my final goal. I read this quote and I love it "suck it up so that one day you don't have to suck it in". Hang in there everyone...WE CAN DO IT!!! Good luck

Fruity sugar free chewing gum helps a lot! I also make sno-cones with shaved ice and the crystal light squeez-ey Water flavor.

Last day of the full liquid diet here. Tomorrow is Clear liquids and surgery on Tuesday. I caved this morning and had a cracker and a pickle spear. Since my BMI is so close to 40 (40.5 to be exact) I'm not super worried but I definitely shouldn't have done it.

I start liquids tomorrow, I am very nervous! I have not stopped drinking coffee yet. I am going to do half and half tomorrow black and see how that goes and by the end of the week switch to black Decaf. I have cases of my pre-made Protein shakes ready to be consumed ugh. Surgery 7/20!

My lap band pre-op diet was so long ago, I don't remember how well I stuck to it. Now because of a revision to sleeve surgery, I will once again have to go through it.

2 weeks.

2 long weeks.

I'm not looking forward to it.

I've heard of some doctors who just say stay under 1000 cal. Others says pre-op diet for sleeve is unnecessary. I have a friend who said their doctor told her 3 weeks liquid diet.

Other than Meal Replacement shakes, what else is allowed? I don't remember anymore and maybe it's different than a pre-op lapband diet.

Thanks.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
