My practice has us stop ALL Vitamins and supplements the week before surgery....anyone else have this rule? Curious BC I never read about this in any of my book, I don't think.

Gina171, I'm feeling really good!! I went to Walmart for a bit today. I don't hurt anywhere, but my incision sites are itching like crazy and I am super sore, like someone rearranged my insides, lol!!!

I am having a hard time getting "enough" fluids in...I think I'm getting a little dehydrated. I don't want to end up back in the hospital on fluids, so I better step up my game tomorrow lol!

Wow! I am hugely impressed!! I hope that I am like you and trying an errand or two a few days post-op!

Right now I just have so much anticipation anxiety, counting down the days and hours....I think it will be a relief just to be on the other side of surgery and starting to count down something else!

Please keep us posted on how you are doing?

@@MadisonsMommy Glad to know I'm not the only one, haha. All of my incisions are itching, but one has gotten a big red ring around it, and doesn't feel like the others, so I think I'm going to have to call my surgeon for some antibiotics, blah.

Have to be in the hospital for my surgery in 3.5 hours. I can't sleep! I can't believe the day is here. It took so long getting here. I am nervous, but excited about being healthy again. I am excited about being proud of myself again and not ashamed of my weight. I am anxious to not feel like people are judging me based on my weight. I was always thin as a child, but started gaining weight at 18 and now I am 40. I have never been thin as an adult and I am ready to know this feeling. I stuck to the preop diet really well and didn't struggle much. It was hard, but I want to follow my doctors instructions throughout this process the best I can. I am ready!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
