Had Surgery Monday - Little bit sore

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks:

I had my surgery on Monday. Didn't sleep a wink at the hospital because my roommate was a serious case! She called everyone under the sun until at least 3:00 a.m.

I'm doing ok but the gassiness is something. feeling a little constipated and its hard to sleep flat. I feel like I can't breathe when i'm flat. I'm doing better sleeping in a sitting position. Hope this isn't for always.

Thanks!:ranger:

Hi MissNilsa, congrats on your surgery. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow, I am feeling a little scared so I came onto the forum to help ease the fear and I am glad I read your post, it made me feel better hearing that you are doing well after surgery. Thank you, I wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi MissNilsa~

I was just banded yesterday, and am a bit sore as well. You're right though, I think the gassiness is about the worst. I've heard it passes after day 1, so I have my fingers crossed.

Hi, MissNilsa!

I am glad you are doing well. I had surgery Monday too. I didn't sleep, either. I had a private room, but still got no sleep. I am not constipated, I have the other problem! I am doing great at home. Minor pain at port site and some gas. I have been walking as much as I can. That helps. :whoo:

Good luck with your recovery! Keep us updated!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
