Did anyone go through nesting before surgery? You would think I'm bringing a baby home. It's not even noon. I've washed clothes, cleaned bathrooms, cleaned the fridge, washed dishes, washed and deep conditioned my hair, finished prepping my mini fridge... About to mop and vaccum.

I "nested" before my 1st attempt (surgery aborted) because I didn't want to risk getting sick by going out and about. So I stayed home during my 2 week pre-op diet to minimize my exposure to potential germs. I also did some Soup prep and ordered stuff I needed, so that I was prepared.

Now when I go for my 2nd attempt I plan to do the same. Don't want to risk getting sick and delayed further than I already was/am. So I will prep what I can and just relax and stay away from people to reduce my risk exposure.

Good luck @@Womanvsmirror!!

Yes over the past 3 weeks I've been extremely anti-social trying to avoid germs

I have got through a bunch ( BUNCH) of clothes I keep in bins ( previous sizes ) and my closet which has clothes I wear That fits and some that are 10 lbs away that I cannot wear .... I got rid of three full bins of clothes I have always hated but kept hold of because I thought I needed them

And then I washed all clothes from 28, 26 and 24 ( only favorites) and put them in my closet , ready ...... It was awesome . I cannot wait! It was better than thinking about eating or worrying about my 5 yr olds developing cough

I nest literally every month... i did yesterday... i literally clean the house from top to bottom... for me its a hormonal thing... around 2-3 days before I'm due i nest like a crazy person!

I did the samething prior to surgery.. i cleaned the house... organised my filing and paperwork... cleaned up my computer, deleted and filed my inbox... went to the beautician to have everything erm.. groomed hehe... and even gave my family a verbal will. .. i think i went a little overboard though haha..

A couple months ago I went through allllll the clothes I had sized up and out of over the years. Donated a ton, but ended up optimistically setting aside about 3 bags full of favorites that I hope to fit into on my way back down after surgery!

Hello Womanvsmirror, We are Sleeve Sisters!!!! I have surgery on June 1st also! I have been keeping busy but not as busy as you. Doing this liquid diet is pushing me. How are you doing today?

This clear liquid is a little rough and I'm complaining a lot but I'm not cheating I have to wake up left until surgery

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
