weigh ahead program/ how long for surgery

hello there,

I went to my GP about having surgery in June 15, since then i have had to go through a 12 week program at slimming world, then back to the doc and now i am on the weigh ahead program, which is a 6 month program, with 3 specialist, a nutritionist, therapist and a personnel trainer.

i am now 3 months into the course and finding it quite helpful although weight loss is not really happening. has any one else had to got through this process and how long did it take to have the surgery ?

Hi Cinders

I know in my area you have to do a 26 week "Lifestyle' course before you'll be considered but even then it's not guaranteed, it differs or each area. I found the NHS pretty unhelpful in all so I just paid privately in the end.
