April 16, 201610 yr I had it a month out, but I didn't really enjoy it. I ended up doing the smoked eel as sashimi--the rice kills it for me. Nine months out I have it occasionally, but honestly, it isn't the same. I LOVE the spicy tuna and spicy crab rolls, but I tend to peel off some of the rice because it just gets too filling too quickly.
April 16, 201610 yr Probably 6 months out. I think. Given the choice between sashimi and something like California roll, I still go with sashimi. But at 20 months out, I've had it all. Love my sushi!
April 16, 201610 yr 4 weeks out i was cleared for all food and i had sashimi. It was amazing. Salmon sashimi is my absolute favorite thing ever!
April 18, 201610 yr I eat sushi - no rice all the time. Started at about 1 month out. My place now makes spicy tuna with cucumber instead of rice as a regular on their menu. Crazy yummy...
April 18, 201610 yr About 1 month out. I tell them light rice but so far haven't had any issues with rice.
April 20, 201610 yr Spicy did not agree with me anymore, but at 4 weeks..... I can and still can eat a piece. So I make it hamachi!
April 20, 201610 yr I just had sushi tonight, 4 weeks out. Mushy food. I did not have rice so just took the fish (salmon and tuna) off the rice and ate it plain.
April 21, 201610 yr I have no issues with rice. I just don't like it. I figure since i have so little space in my tummy if im going out for sushi im filling what little space i have with the yummy fish not the bland rice
April 21, 201610 yr One month out. I had sashimi Walu (white fish) with no rice. It went fine even with wasabi. I also had a spicy scallop roll hand roll but just ate the scallops in a bit of the seaweed. I have been going to happy hour and because of the small amount I eat it is super inexpensive. I probably have it 2 times a week. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
April 21, 201610 yr I eat sushi/sashimi about 2-3 times a week. Started eating sashimi at 3 months and was just fine. Usually I eat 3 pieces of salmon sashimi and then 2-3 small pieces of a sushi roll (usually lobster roll lately). I do tend to take out about half the rice from the roll's pieces tho. I'm about 1 year, 4 months out now.
April 21, 201610 yr I have noticed that sashimi goes down very easily. I can actually eat about 2/3 of a full sashimi meal
April 21, 201610 yr Popular Post I've learned to LOVE the riceless rolls! A lot of places will turn things riceless if you ask.
