Hey Jocelyn, My name is Tracy. I also had a bypass in march and i am about a month out. Right now I am supposed to be on a full liquid diet. I find that I get nauseated if I try to eat anything more than what is on my diet. Or try to drink and eat at the same time. It does not mix well. You are supposed to wait 30 minutes in between. I know it is hard because you think you are hungry but your body can't tolerate what you want to eat and then you stay nauseated or throw up. At least I do. I also don't tolerate drinking Water, I prefer ice chips. Just find something you like ( Vitamin Water, Powerade zeros ) to get your fluids in.

Hi Jocelyn, my name is Ebony I'm 24 and had the bypass on Dec 16th of last year starting at 226 I've recently hit my 4 month mark and I'm currently at 157. I used to have the same issue as you when it comes to being nauseous but I quickly learned it was because I didn't wait the whole 30 minutes in between drinking and eating. Every since surgery I barely can get in 48 Oz a day if that, it happens to a lot of us. If you'd like to inbox me I could use a friend as well.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
