I love my bariatric surgeon, Dr Colleen Kennedy. Her staff is great. She has 3 locations but the Baylor Dallas location is closet to Irving (also in Plano and Rockwall). I highly recommend her. PM me if you have questions

I went to the Nicholson Clinic. They were great and I had a great experience. I am 10 months out and doing well. Dr. Nick did my surgery.

I had my sleeve performed by Dr. Clayton Frenzel at the Plano Surgical Hospital.

I can't say much about his office staff as they seem lacking in general skills such as taking messages, answering voicemail, etc., however his surgical skills must to be great as I have had no complications whatsoever and I am quite happy with the results

I am currently going to Kim Bariatrics in Frisco. I am using Dr. Le. She seems great and I have researched alot and like what I hear about her and the entire team there.

Dr. David Kim at Kim Bariatrics was my surgeon. Not only is he an amazing surgeon but his office staff is amazing. He has an office in Frisco and Colleyville. It is definitely worth going for the free consult.

Like ironpoorer mentioned Dr. Frenzel is good (he is the surgeon I started out with) but switched due to his inadequate staff.

I'm very happy with my final decision!

Dr Kim at Kim Bariatrics is great! He did my surgery 4 years ago and I am still involved in the support system they have there. You will get support for life at KBI. Monthly support groups, FREE bootcamps for their patients, FREE U Jam classes, Cruises, Hiking events, etc and the private patient only FB support group does monthly Breakfast and dinner get togethers, monthly 5ks, and lots of fun events like bowling, painting, ziplining in DAllas, dancing, toller skating, karaoke nights and lost more!! That is what has helped me be successful in my 90 lbs loss. The office has always been very helpful to me throughout my journey. Dr Kim did my sleeve and two years later Dr Holden took out my gallbladder. All docs on his staff are GREAT! Good luck in your weight loss journey.

I used the Nicholson Clinic, too. Dr. Thomas Roshek did my sleeve. I chose him specifically after a long search. My GI actually referred me to the Nicholson Clinic. He (the GI) said he would recommend anyone in that office. Good luck!

Dr. Kim at Kim Bariatric Institute did my sleeve a year and a half ago. He and his office staff were terrific. My insurance required 6 months of nutrition classes before they would approve the surgery and I learned a lot about making the right choices and lost nearly 30 lbs before surgery. After Surgery the on-line support group was there along with Nurse Pam at the office to answer all my questions (even the stupid ones) I'm down another 150lbs since surgery and could not be happier. I highly recommend them.

I had my sleeve done this morning at UT Southwestern - Dr Sarah Hennessy. Man the new hospital at UTSW is nice. Only one year old. Everyone is so nice and so far I've been ok with pain.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
