I got one too. Took it off yesterday morning and haven't worn it since. Still have pain in abdomen at incision sites. The Hydrocodone gives me some real whacky dreams

I was sleeved on the 29th. I don't do good with pain meds so I opted out of them from the beginning. I'm doing pretty well so far. Mild pain with a lot of activity. Finally starting to see some better results getting more Protein and liquids down. I've had a bit of heartburn from cold drinks. The great thing about no meds is I've been very regular since leaving the hospital.

I am feeling great! Very little pain and down 13 lbs since surgery on the 29th. Purée foods I can only handle about 2-4 bites but everyday things are getting easier.

Is anyone still having muscle spasms/Charlie horse cramps on right side of abdomen? I can not sit in a sitting position without getting them. I'm 2.5 weeks out of surgery and the incision is healed, hard but not sore. I can only stand or lay to be comfortable. Any thoughts?

I have the same issue with my left side hurting really bad it's healed up but it's still very painful especially getting in out of the car. My surgeon said it is normal and will go away in time

I have pulling and pain on the main site. My surgeon said it was part of the healing process. The more you do the less you notice or start to get used to it. If I stay busy I hardly notice it. When I'm sitting or when I first wake up is when it is the worst.

I too still cannot sleep on my side yet. Which is hard because I'm used to sleeping on my left side. So for the past month I've had to sleep on my back. The worst for me is bending down or leaning over or getting into and out of my truck. It also hurts when I have to wear all my gear for work

Yes bending down to tie my shoes is a killer, especially right side. Paul what do you do that you wear gear? How soon did you go back?

State police officer/game warden/marine patrol. I went back to work after 12 days. Was still tender though

Gosh I can't imagine feeling up to going back to work that soon, let alone the gear. No wonder your tender getting in and out of car with the gear on. I commend you for toughing it out.

Hi Paul Dean.. I'm in Jax as well. Looks like we have the same surgery date and the same dr. So funny. We were at.the hospital at the same time. My surgery was at 9:15.

This pulling pain in my left side is the worst. I was sopposed to go back to work today but decided to stay home another week. If I sneeze I will involuntary scream which I can't do at my job. I might scare my Co workers at Bank of America lol

Dr Hodgett says it's NJ oral and will go away. But I just don't know what to do to help the healing process along faster.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
