Down 70Ibs

My surgery was Jan 5th and I lost 50Ibs and since my pre-op diet I'm down 70Ibs. Has anyone else lost this amount of weight in a couple of months? Everyone keeps telling me I'm losing it to fast.

  • Congrats!! I had my surgery the same day as you. I'm down 37# from 253 on 1/5 and feeling like I'm losing too slowly. I thought I would be down 50# by now. What was your weight on surgery day?

Just keep following your plan! you look great and I am sure you feel fabulous. the only person I would listen to is if your doctor thought it was too fast for some medical reason. :-)

People would say the same thing to me. You are losing weight too quickly or "you're going to blow away in the wind you are so tiny" to me I wasn't tiny at all.

My surgeon put it perfectly - These people see you every day and saw you at your heaviest. Would a stranger tell you you look too skinny? Probably not.

I would continue what you are doing and go with it. There will come a time when you are begging the scale to drop one more pound. :)

Congrats!! I had my surgery the same day as you. I'm down 37# from 253 on 1/5 and feeling like I'm losing too slowly. I thought I would be down 50# by now. What was your weight on surgery day?

I weight in at 225.

Congrats! That is so Awesome!

I'm so jealous! I am only down 34lbs and I had my surgery Dec 28. Im following my dr plan so not sure what is going on :(

My surgery was three weeks ago today and I'm down 34 pounds. My surgeon says it's ok considering I was carrying a lot of excess water pre op due to other conditions. As long as your surgeon says it's cool rock it! You look amazing!!!
