    Does it ever get better?

chicken is still hard for me. Fish and ground beef are the easiest for me to eat. I don't do well with steaks either. Cheesesticks are my favorite snack, they are the perfect amount to fill me up, easy to eat and keep me satisfied for awhile.
  3. I danced in heels Saturday night! May not sound like a big deal but to me it was! I haven't been able to last all night in heels for years now, much less dance in them. So I always carried a pair of flats in my car. This past Saturday on our way home from the event we went too my husband looked at me and said "I'm impressed, we danced all night and you didn't even send me to the car to get your flats".

    Non-scale victories

So today I was happy to look down at my boobs and just see my boobs, and not see my stomach creeping past them.

    Severe Thirst

I wish, I have to force myself to drink. I use to drink Water all day and now I have to think and remind myself to drink water. It is so hard for me to get all my fluids in.

So frustrated I feel like I could cry.

@@JamieLogical Most definitely. I know I will have to adjust my goals along the way. I want to be healthy and if it means slower process then I am ok with it. As long as I continue to make better choices I know I will succeed. and I am sure there will be lots of disappointment and frustration along the way. and Im ok with that!

So frustrated I feel like I could cry.

I had surgery on 12/28 as well and I am down 26lbs but I have happy with my results. I told my self before surgery as long as I lost 12.5 pounds a month I would be at my goal weight by my birthday (November). I've already accomplished that for Jan and Feb so any extra lost this month is a bonus. I know some people who have had the sleeve and where 60lbs down in 2 months but I wont feel like a failure if I don't do the same. All out bodies are different and we will all lose weight at a different pace. I think it is AWESOME you have lost the weight that you have and like everyone has stated on here, just follow your plan and keep up the exercise and only weigh yourself once a week.

    Hungry

Yes, but for me it is on my days that I am not prepared with Protein Snacks. If I eat something like a granola bar or cheese crackers I get hungry soon after. String cheese or some sort of protein snack keeps me fuller longer. So I try to keep those on hand. Or I will drink a small glass of milk. That seems to keep me full for a while as well. I wasn't a big milk drinker before surgery but now I am.

    Hate eating now

@@Remmy75 you are so on point. I would be eating Breakfast and thinking already about lunch. I agree, for each meal I wanted something different and good and savory and delicious. Now since I eat so little at a sitting, I make a batch of something and eat on it for at least two days maybe three. I'm learning to eat healthier and make better choices and make meals about getting the nutrition I need. It's hard to change your way of thinking but you do in order to succeed. and this site helps with that a lot.

    Metformin for PCOS after surgery?

I take metformin and I do fine on it. My dr doesn't want me to crush any pills.

    Straws?

My dr. told me I could drink from a straw from the beginning. and if it wasn't for that I don't think I could get all my Water in.

    Hate eating now

food doesn't taste bad to me I just don't want it. I don't crave food like I use too. I also use to be thirsty all the time and now I have to force myself to remember to get my Water in. It's crazy how I use to LOVE LOVE LOVE food and now it is a chore to eat. I'm so happy I made the decision to have the gastric sleeve. Because now I eat to live and no live to eat. I pack me Snacks that are good for me and am finally making better decisions.

    Breakfast.

Im only 4 weeks out and even though my doctor gave me the red light to eat regular food I still just drink a Protein drink in the morning. I feel like if I try to eat anything else I get nauseated so I just stick to my protein shakes. I mix them up. chocolate with natural Peanut Butter no added sugar and frozen bananas. or vanilla with different fruits. I haven't gotten tired of them yet and it sorda my comfort food now.
  15. So I just got back from my two week Post OP appt. I'm only down 10lbs according to their scale. They didn't have my day of surgery weight just last weight of Dr. Visit and I know I weighed more on surgery day but regardless the dr wasn't too happy. I know it is because I am not getting in my Protein. he moved me to regular foods and wants me to eat every two hours. Small meals of protein. Im on a low carb high protein diet. I was so excited this morning because my scale show's 16 lbs down. Way to burst my bubble and feel like a failure!
  16. What Vitamins do you take. I take just chewable multi but feel like maybe I should take Biotin and Vitamin d.
  17. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!! for the encouragement! I needed it!
  18. I think with the protein intake. I think that is why he put me on solid foods and told me to eat every two hours and for it to be some type of protein. He said every hour I should be concentrating on something. One hour drinking my Water. the next hour getting my protein in. make it a routine.
  19. Once you have gotten past all the stages and liquids and softs foods and have started on a regular daily diet. what are you eating. What does your daily menu really look like?

    Sleeved on 12/28

So I was 16 pounds down a week after my surgery. Eating (drinking) pretty much the same thing everyday. I got on the scale this morning and I am up 3lbs

    Sleeved on 12/28

My dr. said it was common and it should be normal within a week or two and he was right. My eyesight was real bad and now it is back to normal.

To tell or not to tell? WLS

I've pretty much told anyone who would listen. I'm excited and feel like if everyone around me knows then it will help keep me on track. I figured I've tried dieting for years and now all of a sudden if I have rapid weight loss they would figure something was up any ways. When I here the negative comments I ignore them. This decision was for me and no one else. I may only be two weeks post op but I know it was the right one.

    Sleeved on 12/28

I also was sleeved on 12/28. I have no pain and have been off pain meds since 12/30. My problem is my eyesight. It has gotten really bad but the Dr says is it common. still real tired and the itch from the dermabandage is crazy. I can get my liquids and Proteins in for the moist part but I want to CRUNCH on to something. I stay full from the Protein shakes and don't get real hungry but just to bite into something. OMG that is what I can't get out of my head.
  24. ready4therealme

    Bread?

My doctor said NO to BREAD but of course I didnt listen and I recently got a fill that has made me a lot more restricted. Well he doesnt have to worry about me eating bread anymore. OMG the pain of being stuck!
