  1. its so so so worth it... i promise
  2. at the time i wrote this i thought it was a stomach spasm but now looking back i don't think it was... things just take some time to get used to... i had my surgery in march.. i feel amazing but it took a long time and sometimes i still have my "moments"
  3. So just an update: I shed brown for two weeks a month after my period just before the surgery. A month after the that I starting having regular periods again
  4. It's easier for men to lose weight in general! *sigh*
  5. I just hit the three month point and it's slowing down.. Makes me nervous but now is the time to put in hard work
  6. Thank you! And just asking out of curiosity
  7. i had my 3 month post op appointment today.. i am down 51 pounds. this averages to about 3.3 lbs a week. just curious to hear what others 3 month post op loses have been and what you may think is "normal"
  8. I wrote on the other forum about this and felt slightly better after but I just wanted to know if anyone else is having similar experiences... Around that time I was supposed to get my period I started seeing brown discharge.. Well 8 days later and it's still there sometimes mixed with a little red! I used to get my period for 4-5 days tops. This is freaking me out.. Did anyone else experience this?
  9. I have lost about 30lbs in 5 weeks. I feel good but I guess I thought I was going to be losing at a rapid pace. You see before and after and if anyone is like me you think it happened in 24 hour period. I am constantly reminding myself to enjoy the journey. And take it day by day.
  10. Thank you Val! It makes sense
  11. I feel the same way. I get nauseous from water from time to to time but other than that drinking is no problem. I'm kind of grateful for this...
  12. It gets better with time. It's ok to start with eat on meal a day and supplementing the other two with protein in the beginning. My doctor told me that that the order of importance is liquids, protein, and then pureed and soft foods.
  13. I am 4 weeks out and I feel the same but I mostly have no desire to eat bc I can't over eat so I feel like I might as well eat to fuel myself
  14. This may be graphic so I'm sorry in advance. I got sleeved a month ago, ended my period two days before surfery. It would make sense for me to get my period now.. For the last 4-5 days I have a brown discharge, not in mass amounts but pretty much every time I pee I see it... Starting to worry. Did anyone else experience this?
  15. Sleeved 3/7 post op app 2/16 - 19 lbs down
  16. this is awesome i hope to have this issue! lol
  17. i find this to be very frustrating as well. but reading what most of the OG's say this is normal. and most things i have read on this forum have been accurate so far. hang in there...i know its beyond frustrating... patience is a virtue
  18. Yea I'm going to... this new normal is taking some getting used to, that's for sure
  19. no where did I mention solid foods. I am on the puréed phase.
  20. I am two weeks and two days post op. I have a very hard time drinking anything with fake sugar or flavor. I added lemon to my Water and instead of nausea I had intense reflux. I need to eat slower and measure for sure.
  21. I am going to be completely honest in this post... The other day I posted that Water is making me nauseous, which it still is but now I'm getting nauseous even after I eat! I'm not measuring my food, I'm not taking small bites, and I'm definitely eating quickly out of habit. I have not vomited once but this nauseous is killing me. Could it be from not eating carbs? I'm really hating this. Could something be wrong?
  22. how is life two years post op? @@glitter eyes
  23. I am almost 2 weeks post op:. Progressing quicker than I thought.. Able to drink, get my protein in, started pureeds but for some reason every time I drink water as of yesterday I feel nauseous, does this happen to anyone else?
