Why did I do this?
U are not alone!!!!!! I just crave everything ...... Today I had mashed potatoes, never really felt "full" but for some reason just stopped eating. A normal serving for some reason was broken up into 3. I think this is my new full? But yes, commercials, smells, life... I just want so many different things

I am missing my comfort too ..... This is our withdrawal period during rehab. That's how I like to think of it.... In retrospect this will probably be the hardest part.

Today is one week postop ... I feel pretty amazing considering how I felt .. I was very in tune with my body pre op and now I feel like I am getting to know myself again which can be challanging at times. On Saturday night my friend had a birthday at a steakhouse and I went. Had only Water and left before the food came out. My energy was up and I didn't want to miss it. I try to walk as much as I can. Physically and mentally I get better every day. I am very excited to finally have a new normal which I am realizing Takes time. I have been taking normal sips and even guzzled water the other day bc I forgot I couldn't and was actually OK. My throat and ear has been hurting so bad. I wasn't taking my acid reflux meds bc I really hate meds and once I did I instantly felt so much better. I've decided to just take them for the best couple of months. My next app is this Wednesday and I look forward to seeing the doctor. How are you doing ?

Puréed stage in less than 7 days
Has anyone felt good enough to start incorporating puréed foods in early than the 7 day mark... Like day 5 or 6? Last night I went to a steak house for a friends birthday and drank Water. I was sleeved on 3/7. I am also drinking pretty normal amounts with not much discomfort. - grateful & desperate for purée

This is hard for me and I'm not the best example. I haven't been able to get all of my protein in. The jay bob protein is by far the best and pre op I drank it like a champ.. Post op not so much. The peanut butter powder helps though. Have you heard of it? And I use almond milk, unsweetened of course. I have a very hard time with sugar free tasting things as well so lemon water, Gatorade (3 times a day 4oz max) ice pops (edys no sugar added), plain water, sometimes broth, miso or wonton.. These things really got me through

Reflux post op
Is anyone else having intense reflux post op? I was sleeved on Monday and it's actually going into my ear ... Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've never had a baby but that's exactly how I would describe it so far.

2 Days Post-op.
I agree, YOU have to do what YOUR body can handle. Once I did that I stopped vommitting. I wasn't ready for protein on day 2, I knew that and listened to my mother. Now I go by what I want and as long as I progress every day I am happy w that. Hang in there...

Why did I do this?
I am 5 days out and completely understand. I did NOT expect to be down for whatever reasons. At day 5 I'm feeling, better. Not 100% but not so regretful. You wanted this for a reason, you went through everything for a reason and someone told me the other day no pain no gain, in our case no loss. Hang in there, you are in the worst of it now. Walking was my BFF even though it took a lot out of me. Hang in there ????

Omg you have to keep in touch! I'm so excited for you!!!! @@Marie2016 texting/ looking at my phone was very difficult for me post Anesthesia but if you can give me an update I would love to tell what little tricks helped me. If you feel gassy walk! Walking literally got me out the hospital somewhat early, calmed me down, relieved gas pain, made drinking easier... Ugh never loved my legs so much

@@Marie2016 I am doing well.. Everyday truly does get better. I am going to be very honest... I am not getting enough protein in, I just don't want that thick consistency, I'm thirsty so I crave water, Gatorade, etc.. Also, I am hungry. People eat around me and so far I have craved ever single smell that has found its way up my nose. I layed low until today, just went to school.. Left a bit early bc I was getting very tired. So excited for puréed foods you have no idea. Ecstatic that the gas pains are gone but have this weird sensation in my throat that is very annoying. Maybe acid reflux? The tight chest when drinking feeling has been getting better every day. I truly believe that sleep, walking during the day, and staying hydrated are healing me right now. I know I need protein.... Tell me how you are.. How's it going? How do you feel?

Purée Diet - I'm so lost
But how much of these things are you eating at once? Just until you are full or 4oz?
