Brown period

I wrote on the other forum about this and felt slightly better after but I just wanted to know if anyone else is having similar experiences...

Around that time I was supposed to get my period I started seeing brown discharge.. Well 8 days later and it's still there sometimes mixed with a little red! I used to get my period for 4-5 days tops.

This is freaking me out.. Did anyone else experience this?

It happened once or twice to me, and is generally no cause for concern.

What kind of birth control have you been on? Before this started when was ur last cycle? A brown cycle is normally just old blood ur body hasn't been able to shed. But the fact you are seeing some red in there should hopefully mean ur body is almost rid of the old blood and hopefully your next cycle will be normal.

Mine are totally out of whack. It is light for 4 days, heavy for 3, light for 4. And last month a week later I bled for 24hrs. WTF? I suppose losing so much weight has just thrown our systems out.
