I had procedure done 6/8/16. I still cannot eat very much. If I go out to eat I eat very little and take the rest home. I think I am still at less than 800 calories a day. My relationship with food has forever changed but I am much happier now. I miss being able to eat a whole piece of pizza or a entire cheeseburger but that's why I go so big in the first place..

hello there Dr. Bilof did my DSLoop yesterday small world. How are you doing this far out

I’m doing great been at my goal for what seems like a long time now. I would not know I had gotten anything done except I eat much less food now. Health has been great I take my Vitamins everyday and just live now. Good luck with you weight loss and new life. It goes by fast. It may seem slow at first but the weight WILL come off. Let me know if I can help.

Hello Oking, I received a lot of information on youtube by watching the Sadi-s guy channel. He did a month to month review for a whole year. I decided to go with the SIPS/Sadi-s LOOP surgery because of its longer common channel for maximum absorption of Vitamins. I did not want to take an extreme amount of Vitamins and I also did not want the smelly gas and poop. I work in an office and I was told that the longer common channel allows the body to work through the process of waste elimination so that I don't have this problem. I also liked the idea of just a single Anastomosis connection instead of two. The loop process made a lot of sense to me and I went for it. I could only afford this opportunity once and did not want to come back years later to find out I needed further surgery because I failed with the sleeve only surgery. So Far so good, I take Calcium, B12 and Biotin and I wear the Vitamin patch. I will go for a 6 month check up and see how by Vitamin levels are and adjust it from there. I hope this helps. Blessings

What is the youtube channel's name?

I had sips 12/11and I am so pleased with the outcomes so far. Is everyone loving it or are there issues. Sometimes I wish my stomach pouch was smaller. I feel like I can eat bigger portions than I should do I have to really be self aware of what I’m eating

Hello,

2 1/2 weeks post op. Excited to find a group. What is the average caloric intake? I am on pureed. I have been between 500-600 so far.

Thanks!

That’s about right, I’m 6 months out now and get about 800 a day.

600 to 800 calories the first few months, then gradually up. I was around 1600 after a year and now in year 4 I'm at 3k calories per day. I get in a fair amount of exercise but nothing crazy, and I eat a lot of good stuff mixed in with poor decisions (fat and sugar). My focus today is more on ingredients then calories.

My biggest challenge is finding the discipline to eliminate foods I love that cause gas. If I eat the right foods, I'm fine. If not, my gas could choke horses in a barn.

I don't know much about this type of surgery. I'm hoping to learn from your experience. What is a normal calorie range for a female 5' 6" to stay in weight loss mode? (3K would make me gain)

Hi,

I have lost 200 lbs since my SIPS surgery on 12/3/16. I am 5’11 but I stay within 800 to 1200 calories daily. If not my weight comes off too fast. I have had no issues with this surgery and highly recommend it.

I had the sleeve prior to my SIPS surgery.

Hello. I am new here and I had the sleeve on 12/16 but after losing nearly 70 lbs I gained about half back and just completed the DS Loop on 12/17. I have lost almost 40 lbs in 6 weeks but it seems the scale has halted a bit. It has been an adjustment but a good one so far. I hope to get myself on track for the long term so your post is encouraging.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
