  • I make pizza on top of portabello mushrooms...

  • Wonton wrappers with a little sauce, cheese and ground turkey pepperoni will give you the feeling of pizza without all the carbs. just a suggestion....

  • I have literally NEVER heard of that happening. Has anyone else ever heard of that? Honestly, that sounds like an old wives' tale -- or something he says to scare patients into not eating slid

ive done toppings but gotten sick off bread like 10x so i don't even try to eat the crust. you might be surprised how it makes you feel. also 8.5 weeks out might not be far out enough to even try it. im just now barely able to eat normal-ish and i'm over 4 months out.

pizza is my all time favorite food and after my lap band surgery I gave it up completely. it's not that I couldn't physically eat it I just chose not to for a couple years . but now even with my band I started eating pizza again just chew it well enough so you don't feel like food is stuck. there are definitely "healthier alternatives" to pizza but sometimes you just want the real thing.

I noticed at Walmart the other day that they have some small pizzas in the frozen section with the Atkins meals. Like 3G of sugar and 23g of protien. Not many carbs either but I can't remember how many :(

I bought one but I def haven't eaten it yet as I'm almost 4 weeks out. Maybe that's an option. Probably can't eat the whole thing at once either even though it's personal size.

I've done the toppings only a couple of times, but I have found that my head's desire for pizza doesn't match my stomach's ability to handle it. It's too greasy and just plain nasty. My nut and I talked about pizza from the get go, and she said that we have to not be afraid of these foods. All these things can have a place and role in our lives as long as we don't give them dominance. If eating pizza once will turn you into a 3-4 slice guzzling maniac having pizza multiple times a month, then please don't do that to yourself. If you are more the kind who takes a bite or two and says that was plenty and your itch is scratched, that's better! Have a slice(or a quarter of one slice) and move on.

I found a recipe today that used ground chicken as a crust. Though it was different, but I sometimes put chicken on pizza, so why not! I think I'm going to try it next week.

there's always the cauliflower crust but remember that may cause gas

I have to say this sounds delicious. I would rather try this than waste calories on a frozen pizza or pizza on a wonton or tortilla.

I eat very healthy now since my surgery and very proud of myself so I like to treat myself to a slice every so often. I can barely finish a slice its pretty crazy seeing how i used to eat a whole pie in one sitting.

I'd think if you are only 4 weeks out, this pizza would be preeeeeeeettttttty freezer burned before you should even consider it, but hey...what do I know?

True! We actually went ahead and got one for my hubby to eat. I'd like to see and smell it first and see if it even remotely looks good and he can tell me if it tastes good because we like the same pizzas! ;)

If you are really craving pizza, eat it. Personally, the bread makes me yarf, which is why I will use 1/3 of a tortilla from time to time.

More often, I will take a stoneware pan (toaster over sized -- about 4"x5" -- seasoned with olive oil. I will put a handful of mozz, a bit of chopped onion and mushroom, some red pepper flakes and whatever meat I feel like having, most often ham and bacon bits. I quick broil it and eat it right off the pan with a fork. I usually burn the roof of my mouth on the hot cheese, just like a real pizza, too!

It's tasty, fast and carb free. Looks weird, but so what? :D

Your tiny tummy can't hold much so don't waste that little precious space on cardboard flavored crap. See my post above when you are ready!! It's much tastier, I promise.

It's funny because that was always my fav food! Could eat it every meal of every day but I actually haven't wanted it once so far! So proud.

I also pinned a bunch of crust less options on Pinterest if I ever get desperate. The crust was always my fav part but I'm glad I just don't want it anymore. At least for now anyway! ;)

Crust was always my favorite part, too. Especially if it was cripsy/chewy/doughy/yeasty...YUM. Crunchy, bubbly, cheesy. ARGH.

But it makes me vomit now. It makes me feel bloated and sick and gross.

Now I just eat the toppings, made my way with WHOLE MILK cheese. I've gotten over crust, seriously.

Look up oopsie bread on here or just google it. It's made from eggs and cream

Cheese. I've made pizza on that!
