@It's Time During my full liquids phase, I was allowed any kind of strained cream Soup, but advised to stay away from Tomato Soup because of its acidity. Have you tried any other cream Soups? My favorites were Campbell's condensed cream of shrimp and Progresso's chicken cheese enchilada.

Jamie I have not tried any others but my spouse found cream of chicken, which I'm going to try for dinner. I will look up your other suggestions because I have struggled with the cream Soups. It's funny how plans are different Tomato Soup is actually listed as an option for me - I wonder if it's due to me eating creamy Tomato that I haven't experienced any issues with acidity.

I actually start purée on Tuesday and will try tuna and the ricotta bake if you have any suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated [emoji16]

Make sure you really drown the tuna in mayo. My first time eating tuna was my first time really struggling with not being able to drink and eat at the same time. It was so dry!

I definitely will, thanks for the tip - one great thing for me is that I have never been a drinker when I eat, so hopefully I won't have a hard time with the time between eating and drinking [emoji120]

I didn't have to do water only the day before, I just couldn't eat past midnight. Just to be safe I ate my 4 oz meat and cup of veggies for lunch and did a shake for dinner and refused to put anything in my mouth past 8. It's almost over and will be so worth it

Being hungry only gets easier from here because you initially will have no appetite and when it returns your tummy only will take so much yayyyyy for tomorrow

Update - down 38 pounds total, 19 since surgery. I started the week off, switching to puréed and although I food prepped and thought I was ready, my tummy said no. tuna and received Beans were a definite no and everything else other than yogurt has given me extreme acid reflux. Called the doctors office and was told again that I should not be experiencing this since I had a hernia repair but I digress. They put me on nexium twice a day, which has apparently not kicked in yet and I ended up choking up foam yesterday at work, which I read is gerd. I'm so annoyed with not being able to eat but have switched back to Protein Shakes since they go down well sigh. Clothes are fitting better and my scars are trying to finally rid themselves of some of this surgical glue.

I have found that I am a daily weigh person but haven't decided if it's best or if I should switch to weekly. I seem to average about a pound a day but as many others, I am impatient[emoji16] I know I didn't gain the weight over night but I sure do want it to come off over night heheheheheh

I really can't wait until I am 100% as I am so ready for some extreme working out [emoji123]???? whelp that's all for now

Tracey - how was surgery? I pray all is well and you are walking and sipping away [emoji16]

It will get better...I was tired for the first few days, are you taking B12 yet? Your tummy may not like everything so if something makes you feel funky try something else. My surgeon said focus on Fluid initially because we don't want to get dehydrated, the Protein intake will increase with time. Also don't push yourself, if you feel full or uncomfortable, stop

Sending hugs and healing your way [emoji51]

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
