My recovery has been good, i went back to work after 5 days.

Yikes! I went back at 15 days and I was completely exhausted at the end of each day. I had a little stretch there where I was going to bed almost as soon as I got home from work. Glad to hear it's going a little easier for you!

I'm in that stretch now.. I went back after a week (and I'm a commuter from Nj to NYC) so I'm pretty much in bed as soon as I get home. How long did your stretch last? Luckily my Water in take is good- but Protein is what i'm struggling with. saw my doc today and he told me I should be at 1,000 calories a day... I had a look of horror on my face lol

I feel you with the protein... I'm struggling with that also.

@@Adtrx3 I started to get some energy back once I was on solid foods and could get more calories in. I pushed hard to try to get above 800 calories a day ASAP. I also pushed hard to get up to 100 grams of Protein a day. Had to use Protein Shakes, greek yogurt, string cheese, eggs, and meat (once I was allowed ground or shredded meat) to do that. It was a challenge for sure!

hi all! i was sleeved 1/27 and i am also struggling with liquid and Protein. also with eating. i have been enjoying scrambled eggs (my FAV right now YUM), light string cheese and these nifty little pretzel with cheese packs that are in my carb/fat limits. i know i am NO where near 1000 calories! maybe that is why there is a week 3 stall??? i did get some new Protein Powder in so starting tomorrow i should be able to up that intake a little. maybe when the swelling inside is completely gone it will be a little easier!!

what is everyones plans for Valentines Day after being newly sleeved? i am trying to think of ideas that would work for hubby and me. i told him we could just go to popeyes and he can eat yummy chicken while i have a little mashed potatoes! he seemed to love the idea of a low key night and no fancy high dollar restaurants ;)

Hi! I'm jealous you're onto scrambled eggs! I can't wait until I can try those next week.

As for Valentines day the guy I'm seeing is fairly new so I've been struggling with ideas too. I think it's just gonna be an in movie night for us and low key as well. He knows I can't eat solids yet, thankfully he's been super supportive : )

I was allowed tuna and chicken salad 18 days post-op and ground meats at 28 days post-op. But every plan is different, so make sure you check the materials your nutritionist gave you.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
