Thank you everyone for your well wishes. Still battling along seeing chest specialist next week. It's quite strange with food my first two weeks I was hungry well now I think it was head hunger! This week I am not hungry at all and am not interested in any food at all. I have also upped my water intake almost to 2 litres now. I have to force myself to eat though! Has anyone else had this?

I was sleeved on 2/8, so exactly 2 weeks ago. I am pretty much on a regular diet, with the exception of lettuce. I am a little scared to try roughage just yet. Is anyone else on a regular diet this soon? I am tolerating everything just fine. The only thing that upset my tummy a little was the fairlife chocolate milk I tried and some sirachi (however you spell it...lol) that was on some sushi I ate.

I'm a 2/8er also and I'm on almost a regular diet. No raw veggies or nuts. Three or four bites though of dense food like chicken and I'm done. I want a salad soooooooooooo bad! I haven't and won't venture into anything like steak for another month or so. I'm on the "soft food" stage, but that's practically all I eat anyway.

I eat just about everything. I have not tried salad yet, but I had steak for dinner tonight. I am down 28 pounds so far. No problems at all. I will probably try salads in about a week or so. No pain, but I do get full very quickly. I have only had about 600 calories today, but I am close to 40 g of Protein and about 40 oz of Fluid. I. Having a hard time getting all my protein and fluid in.

Good Morning Everyone! Feeling 85% back to my normal self, which is great. I've decided to start working out & see if I can build muscle. My doctor really made an impression on me with his recommendations to avoid sagging skin. I'll let everyone know how I feel after a good workout.

Anyone else going to the gym yet?

I'm still only walking. I have some 5lb dumbbells I've incorporated into the walks but I haven't gotten cleared for "real" exercise yet. My surgeon says resistance bands are OK also.

I get clearance on March 10th so I'm patiently waiting.

Also I went back to more of a purée diet adding fish into the mix.

I can't seem to get in my Protein and I know I have to but it's just so difficult. Has anyone tried protein shits? They are maybe 3 or 4 oz and have 28 or so grams of protein.post-260719-14566187735621_thumb.jpg

I hope you don't mind me sneaking in???? I need advice from my older sleevers!! I was sleeved on 2/18 and doing ok almost getting in all my liquids a day and averaging 80-85grms protein but I have ZERO energy. I see everyone else walking and starting to do light exercise and I ran to the store for 30mins then slept 5hrs! What the heck!! I feel like I'm tired all the time I sleep about 6-7hrs each night but then also take about a 4hr nap during the day. Should I be worried? I really want to start walking but my body says no way! I had a ton of energy before surgery and would hike with my dogs about 2x a week and so exercise videos I feel like I went backwards instead of forwards.

I've never seen that type of protein, but I'm willing to try it. Thanks!

Welcome! I'm sure one of my 2/9 teammates will try to offer suggestions. They are wonderful giving advice and sharing information.

I'm not getting all of anything down really. I do everything I can to drink 16oz of Water and 16oz of Protein Shakes daily and I almost always make that, but anything more becomes a challenge.

Are you taking your vitamins daily? I still find it difficult to get that much protein in and all my liquids. I notice if I haven't drank enough and get extremely tired.

Hi everyone. I'm wrapping up week 3 soon and this week I just started experiencing acid reflux which I have never before. I find myself popping tums several times per day. Anyone experiencing the same? I knew this was anticipated. I bought nexium before surgery but didn't realize it was time released. I thought I was lucky since I hadn't experienced any acid reflux... :(

Also, since I sleep with a cpap machine I just started having trouble sleeping since the back of my throat is not closing like it should. My mouth gets extremely dry.

Hello all...I had my surgery on 2/8. It went well. Had to stay in hospital extra day as my bp was really high and nausea and dry heaves was off the chart. By 2/10, i felt great no pain, able to drink about 8ozs. I am now starting week 4 and am down 11lbs. I had lost 50lbs before surgery so Im pretty happy with 61lbs since ive started my journey. I caught an upper resp infection week 2 after surgery, that has slowed me down quite a bit. I cant wait to have the energy to run again. I registered to run my first 5k. Pretty excited about that as well.

Had the same issue with the cpap bought post-160752-14566513407472_thumb.jpg and they work!

When they sent me home after surgery they prescribed omeprazole which i take once a day. Does it help you to space out how much you drink during a given time?
