Happy Holidays everyone! How did everyone fair during Thanksgiving?
  4. Day 7 my incisions are healing minimal pain. I'm trying my best to stay hydrated. I do not have a sweet tooth so drinking Protein drinks is difficult since I don't care for the taste not to mention it takes so long to drink. My post op instructions stated Clear liquids or pureed foods first 2 weeks. Sent from my SM-N900V using BariatricPal

Hi It's Time, I had constipation issues before surgery and they continue now. I use MiraLAX and it takes a while to work. If I need to use it that day, I take ex lax. I'm down to 146 pounds and I'm 5'5. I look like a size zero, but I'm in a size 6 or 8 depending on the clothing. Only thing I'm sure of when shopping is that I can wear a medium, which is awesome for me. Working out helps me keep muscle, which takes the place of fat and limits sagging skin. Sagging skin is something I'm trying to limit as much as possible. If I would have known more about the topic before surgery, I would have tried harder to force myself to eat to AVOID loose weight so fast. So my issues at 5 months post op are: Loose skin hair loss Splitting nails Unstable eating patterns Constipation Other than that I'm great LOL!!! Overall, I would do it all again. Just have more knowledge about it now:) Positive44: Congrats to you! You are seriously kicking butt! I'm 5'6" and cannot imagine getting in a size 6 much less looking like a size 0. Then again most of my weight is in my hips thus far I've gone from size 24 to 16. Very proud of you! How much is your daily Protein in take? Keep up the hard work!

It's Time- I occasionally drink alcohol nowadays I will have a cape cod (cranberry & vodka). I miss beer but steer clear from it and anything with club soda or soda. I prefer red wines but due to calories I'll stick to the dry whites that have less sugar. I've tried a skinny margarita made with honey... it was still very sweet. Not sure how much that helped shave off calories. If I find anything good I'll share!

Happy 4th to All! Today I went shopping because I had a birthday coupon for about a month now in my purse. I was happy with the smaller size and almost shocked. I cannot imagine being any smaller. Every time I jump on the scale I think about the last time I was the size the scale reflects. Currently that would take me back to approximately 23 I'm 41 now. It makes me happy but I cannot recall being my ideal weight . (135) nor what it would be like to be that size in my adult life. My brain is playing tricks on me now. Then I recall reading that your likely to only lose up to 60% of your excess weight. I also realize I still have a long ways to go. I'm still 89 lbs from my ideal weight but just seems so far off yet also realized how far I've come. I feel like I'm nearing uncharted territory... and still have not told anyone at work about my surgery other than my boss.

Hi Everyone! The month of June seemed to be at a stall. Things just got moving again. I'm 73 lbs lighter. People who see me every day are now noticing. I'm feeling healthy ever day... still cannot eat a lot but I manage. I still want to try a body wrap.

Hi 2/9ers, Hope everyone is doing well. Brief update as we are drawing close to our 4th month. I'm down 65 lbs. I am starting to feel and see the loose skin. I cannot wait to hear how the results of Positive44's body wrap was. I heard routine massages also help with skin issues. I hope everyone is doing well!

KellyRN, we all feel where your coming from. This week was a challenge. I think our bodies are trying to adjust. Are you getting in your exercise and your protein intake? I still struggling with my water intake and when I was working out this weekend I could feel how dehydrated I was. It kicked my butt. Don't get discouraged.

I'm stopped forcing protein drinks down. I tried protein water, works better for me. As far a food is concerned I try to eat my protein slowly. I stick to the basics, yogurt, apple sauce, green veggies. I still don't feel like eating most days. I recently found these protein lunchables that have turkey, cheese, and almonds. I eat those a lot, very satisfying and perfect portion.[emoji6]

Congrats to everyone! I'm down 51 lbs. Still haven't met my water intake but this weekend I almost did! I bought a bike. It gets easier every single day! I played tennis for first time in years it felt great. I still have the same usual issues with food. I try to slow down before bites or else it doesn't stay down. Glad to hear everyone doing so well!
