Had band (placed in 2013 with multiple complications) to bypass (all in one surgery) on 2/2/16. HW 259 CW 234, I'm 4 weeks out. My doctor was more optimistic about my weight loss and she thought 80-100% of my excess weight. I think in a weird way, having the band first helped prepare me for the bypass. In my monthly pre-op weight group, I was the only one who had gone through this and I shared a lot of my do's and don't's post op. I feel much better this time around. I have to progress my food phases a little slower, but I remember having to do that with the band too.

I cannot wait to get rid of my Vertical band and all the problems I have had for years.

Did you have hard time eating with your band and now feel fee without the blockages when you eat?

Why did you choose RNY? I am considering DS when I talk to the surgeon.
