I'm much older (56) but I was 305 when I started. It's been almost 2 months and I'm down over 50 lbs (have stopped weighing myself because I was getting crazy thinking I was losing too slow). My family and husband have been very supportive but I've found even with that it's only my journey and almost feel pressured because they are trying too hard to help. Going out to dinner with family is stressful because they all are trying to find something I can eat. One meal I didn't see anything I wanted and my husband told me I was just being difficult. If you want to be buddies, I'm here. Good Luck.

Hey! I'm 26 soon to be 27. I'm around 344 and plan on getting sleeved this summer. My mom is semi supportive and I have a couple of out of state friends that are supportive. My boyfriend on the other hand isn't really. But I plan to get my surgery in Mexico... I didn't meet my insurance requirements to have surgery here.

Hi Sam! I'm almost 26, started this process at 348, currently 9 days post op, and am familiar with the same depression and food addictions. And heads up, they don't go away after surgery. ???? Well, at least not a week after. I'm here if you want to talk.

To make this not entirely depressing, I'll share this bit of exciting information.. At my one week post op weigh-in, I was down 17lbs from my surgery day!????????

Hi all. I'm krystal! I had my consultation 01/28/16. Tomorrow is my meeting with NUT & psych on thursday.

I am at 350 and so nervous to start - I have no idea what to expect and so grateful to be on this journey. I would love to make some buddies who are going through the same thing.

Its hard to find people near my age at 23.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
